Window Peepers

so today one of the local elders came around to "check out how you are doing.".

i didn't really feel like putting up with the interrogation, or the false concern so i decided that i didn't "hear" the doorbell.

the guy decided he needed to circle my home and peek in the windows to see if i was home or not.

Well my poor wife (now also ex) had enough of the harassment and left a couple years ago. the final straw for her was being told by a CO who came by with one of the pious sneers to try to convince her to convert that because she had married me she was a modern day Jezebel. It's too bad that the jw's have cost me two marriages and many friends. I have been fading ever since.

It's strange though that prior to the fade I was told it was my fault if someone else got stumbled, but if I was stumbled by their actions...now wait for it...here it comes...that was MY FAULT TOO!

I have called LE about the window peeping. They claim they can do nothing until they actually witness a crime. Well maybe I should follow the idea of how an old man got the police to respond to a break in. Google the story, it's a hoot!

JWs Lack of Love and Feelings

i have noticed the extreme lack of love in this group of people who preach love, love, love.. we recently had serious floods come through our area and the jws couldnt have cared less.

our 'worldly' friends did sooo much for us though.

raising money, giving gifts, cards, accomodation and so much support and hard work.. i personally think jws are one of the most insensitive, uncaring religions around.. three religious groups were absolutely wonderful during the flooding of our area.

Some years ago when I was still trying I had the "great privilege" of being food service coordinator for a RBC project. What started out to be a one meal per day arrangement turned into three squares per day, on my dime. The only help I could scare up was two crippled sisters.

When I mentioned perhaps at one of the meals they could be served first, instead of kissing the RBC big wheels asses the answer from the jack-ass in charge was, "NO! We don't want to set precedent!" So much for love and fellow feelings.

The ONLY way you can get any "love" from these people is if you are a reg'lar pious sneer, a golf buddy of the coordinator, or making big contributions. I went back to a meeting after being out of town for nearly three months and only one person actually asked, "Have you been gone? I didn't see you last week."

I'm not a woman so I am not worried about that particular aspect of the harassment, but I am getting fed up with the phony concern. This all from the same bunch who read me the riot act when I said I was no longer going to dance to their tune and I was quitting "reaching out". I am one of the ones that as "elder" A said were reprehensible (married a non-jw fifteen years ago), "elder" B said I was not a husband of one wife (jw ex-wife committed adultery and married her new boyfriend twenty years ago), "elder C said no matter how spiritual I tried to be I was only good for field serve us and scrubbing the hall toilets. So basically to Hades with them, and now they are all "concerned" about how I am?

I didn't really feel like putting up with the interrogation, or the false concern so I decided that I didn't "hear" the doorbell. The guy decided he needed to circle my home and peek in the windows to see if I was home or not. Why should I need to keep the blinds drawn and doors locked to keep them out? Local LE does nothing. So now what? Any ideas, short of metaphorically protecting myself from an alleged intruder by whatever means?

What have been your experiences with this kind of conduct from so-called elders?

Shepherding call

so, on sunday i left the meeting and was sitting in my car putting my keys in the ignition, an elder pulled on my door handal and opened up.

i rolled my eyes, this man is annoying...anyway he asked if i was going to be around wednesday.

i told him i should be.

That "shepherds" initials wouldn't be J. S. would they?

It sounds like the mouthy, know-it-all jack-wad that did "shepherding" calls on me a few years ago. Come around with the, "We have to get through the list," BS and then when they showed up it was a twenty minute reading of some WT article photo copy, and then , "well we gotta run. We have three more visits to make yet." It was just a way to make the CO think they cared and were doing their job. Are the CO's really THAT stupid?

Oh well, he has the reputation of flying into some cong. shitting all over the R&F and then on to the next cong. Never stays anywhere very long.

after today's watchtower study which was basically a mind controlling article about shunning your loved disfellowshipped ones, i've come to see just how sick, twisted, vile, rotten, repulsive, disgusting, and just plain evil you all are.

so i stormed out.

i don't know if i'll ever come back to your meetings again.

Well maybe Jehovah is ready to forgive sinners, but where the fallacy enters is that the MEN who rule will most likely NEVER entirely forgive anyone for not knuckling under to their every whim. As one "elder" I know said, "No matter how spiritual one may be they will never be allowed to do more than scrub the KH toilets and go in FS."

Assembly Talks... Are these assigned based on the thickness of the envelope?

from talking to several fading jws over the years, it really does appear that assembly talk assignments are usually given to those pos who consistently hand over the thickest envelopes to the co at the end of his week-long visits.

if the envelope was too thin (or there was no enevelope at all), chances are that no one in that congo would get an assemby talk assighnment.

also, if the co and his wife were treated well or taken to expensive restaurants during their visit, that apparently increased the po's chances of getting an assembly talk assignment.

My dear father said once, "If anyone, including "elders" say that politics doesn't play a large part in the congregation in who gets what "privileges" they are either very naive, or liars!"

Is Bethel Full Of Governing Body Ass Kissers?

when we see the massive layoff of bethel one could naturally ask which ones survived this brutal treatment by the governing body?

i'm sure ass kissers got a more favorable vote by the governing body to stay than the run of the mill hard valuable worker.. while all in the legal team got to stay as they are not required to kiss the governing body's ass(as much) but save it from lawsuits they are faced with.. what say you?

this a partial part of my opinion.. i wonder how much ass kissing, or ego stroking actually goes on once one becomes a member of the gb, i'm sure the ones the governing body keeps closest to them are their best ass kissers it goes along with the narcissistic personality disorder's territory in which he chooses to rome..

It ain't just bethel. I remember a certain CO whose last name rhymes with Seltzer who did give a hoot in hell about anyone unless you were a golfer an "elder" or a pious near.

And the rank and file still couldn't pucker up fast enough whenever he came to town.
