  we have the convention this weekend and many jw families are arriving.

  Yes, 1914 happened. It came after 1913.

  But that's not what you meant.

  But you are wrong in that even if Jerusalem was destroyed in 587, that would not affect the kingdom being established in the heavens in 1914. So many can't see the forest because they look too closely at the trees.

  607 was when Daniel was taken captive. That was when the kings in the line of David lost their sovereignty. That is when the gentile times started, ending in 1914.

  i remember a little over 15 years ago, one of my first jobs at a grocery store, the manager was happy that they passed a new policy allowing them to grow a beard.

  previously they were not allowed.

  among the usa, i guess beards were considered not very professional still.

  They are no more correct about that than that Catholics interpreting Matt 16 for the Pope based on the foundation of Peter.

  I now hate being called 'sister'

  since waking up i find i am bridling at being called 'sister'.

  but it feels like an identity that is being forced on me.. i feel like shouting "i have a name you know!".

  a very close relative of mine left the witnesses.

  ray franz book was a final nail for me, because he described the same incompetence along with the same ego's.

  That brochure is like an ad from Sam's Club to the members who have not shopped for a while. They want their known, once loyal customers back.

  Whereas the regular ministry is like the Walmart ads trying to get the unknown public in as random customers.

  It's all about the customers - who are never right.

  the elders promised that we would talk about everything that was bothering me, yet, we ended up talking about less than 10% of it.

  I always like to use the loss of humanity and creativity of the people and the serving the organization as the real basis for their being a cult.

  The Bible is NOT Error-Free

  for many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.

  but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?

  why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?

  Prior to my writing that, I heard an interview on youtube with Kris Kristopherson and he was telling about how his song "Why Me Lord" was inspired by Larry Gatlin's singing "Help Me". He heard Larry sing and that gave him the idea for his song. There is a movie that says "Inspired by a true story". Thus, that is what the word 'inspired' means. Where the idea for the writing came from. Nothing to do with infallibility or God.

  I wrote about Paul's statement because I am so tired of people saying that Paul was inspired of God because he wrote that All Scripture is inspired of God. It obviously does not include his own writings.
