Was Jesus really a Jehovah`s Witness ? He never identified himself as such , in word or deed.
by smiddy inalso he never chastised the jews for not identifying themselves as jehovah`s witnesses following isaiah`s statement at ch.43 :10-12 , so many years before hand.. and he had ample opportunity to do so on numerous occasions .. jesus himself never used the divine name /jehovah or any other equivalent , in any of his sayings attributed to him by his contemporaries .. sure he acknowledged god as his father and that he did his fathers will , but he never acknowledged him by a personal name such as jehovah or anything like it.. and lets not forget acts 11:26 it was first in antioch that followers of jesus by divine providence were to be called christians , not jehovah`s witnesses,.

I play but the odds to Megamillions and powerball are too high. I play with 10 million or less odds.
Powerball is a ripoff with the 292 million odds per $2 ticket. Megamillions is similar odds for $1.
How can it be said that Jehovah will provide if the Witnesses don't play? How can he provide?

JWs in denial, so sad
by Simon ini had a couple of jw sisters call at my door today.. they started with the bizarre "can we read you a scripture" and read about "death being no more" and asked what i thought of that.. i said it sounded like a mix of disney and dumb.. they then launched into how god was going to put an end to death and wasn't that wonderful?.
i said it would have been more wonderful if he'd not created death in the first place.. they thought man created death by disobeying so i questioned why god couldn't have just forgiven them.
apparently "because he loves us" is supposed to be a satisfactory answer to why he kills us.. i asked how loving it was to kill hundreds of thousands of children in tsunami's, disease and so on.. at this point, they gave up on the 'god is love' and switched to the bible being true no matter what because it was an old book and moses had written the first chapter (says the book).. when i suggested it really wasn't that old and that most of the bible myths were copies of older stories from before it was written they questioned if i studied the bible and theology.. then i told them i was brought up as a jw so knew it was all crap.. now it was game on, they immediately switched to play defence questioning why i'd left (and i think they'd already taken a step back away from "the evil" obviously emanating from me).. not much time to say much before they cut and run so i told them i'd left because i found out it was all based on lies and that the watchtower was corrupt and covered up things like child abuse.. oh no, you're thinking of the catholics one of them said (some disdain in how she said "catholics" as though "we're so much better than them").. "well, i challenge you to do a search for the australian royal commission and you'll see the testimony the watchtower leaders gave and the damning evidence that they covered up abuse and reported none of it to the police.".

What does the rise of Donald Trump tell us about the USA?
by fulltimestudent ini thank one of my former lecturers for drawing my attention to this overview.. after some 100 years, living out its "manifest destiny" dream, as the hegemon of the world, what has this 'dream' done to/for the usa?
the approaching presidential election provides an opportunity to examine this question.. and what of all the appendage organisations (like the wts) that rode across the world on the hegemon's coattails?.
the answer may be here: http://www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11127424/trump-authoritarianism.

It says that people are not thinking.
I thought Trump was smart and a good businessman as he presented on the Apprentice. But he is not showing that on the campaign. He talks about building a will between Mexico and the USA. A good businessman would not build a wall around a business, he would use M&A, mergers and acquisitions. Merge and acquire these other lands and take their assets. Mexico, Cuba and other countries have plenty of assets. A good businessman would make deals to acquire them and make them our own, part of the country.
But yet people are against Trump because he insults and says bad things about women. Those are his good qualities. The bad qualities are that he does not think. Abortion. Not something a president deals with.

Fidel Castro and the WT
by Hecce ini am going to engage on a trip to the past and share with you some of the matters that marked the beginning of the jws persecution in cuba.
you will be surprised that the pattern that was followed is very similar to what happened in other dictatorial countries.. in the cuban case, i am going to surprise you and tell you that like what happened with hitler; the wt was partially responsible for their clash and confrontation with the cuban government.
during the early 60s the revolution was fighting for survival and they were willing and ready to demolish any perceived enemy to their cause.. a prime example was their war against the catholic church that was the most influential religious entity in the country; it took the supreme leader only a few public discourses to send the vast majority of clergy packing and back to their country, in this case spain.. the jehovah’s witnesses were an insignificant minority but they over estimated their importance and displayed a belligerent attitude, it was known that this was a us based religion and an easy target to connect them with the cia.

Cuba should be the 51st state. Kennedy should have invaded and the people rally behind him for statehood. -

The people are mobilizing Mr Drumpf
by Simon inprotesters shut down a trump rally.
massive numbers of people are out in chicago and have shut his event down.
there were scuffles inside the event.. despite his lame attempt to pretend the violence he instigates is nothing to do with him it's clear that it is as the cnn quotes during the last event showed only too well.. this doesn't happen at anyone else's events - candidates have even given up the stage to protesters, not called for them to be beaten and punched.. trump is an ugly person and this is just a small taste of what a future under his rule would be like.. shame on the gop for not kicking his ass out.

"Trump and his followers must be stopped by any means necessary, as Malcolm X once said. Screw peace, it's fighting time."
Why? Trump is what is needed at this time. The hero that we deserve. Yes, it is fighting time. And when America stopped doing that, they stopped being great.

Gilbeath said " Half a congregation in Philadelphia was Df'ed because they went out to vote for Obama because he was black. "
Obama is not black. He is a shade of brown. But regardless, he is a good guy.
And people don't get df'd because of voting. They get df'd for telling others they did.

Neverknew and Simon, said
"in·su·lar - ignorant of or uninterested in cultures, ideas, or peoples outside one's own experience."
If you think that what I said was ignorant, then why can't you say why it is?
Racism is not about color, it is about cultural flaws. In years past Bill Cosby used to talk much about the problems in the black culture. How people forget.
A black man went on American Idol to perform a song he wrote called "pants on the ground" to show how stupid the youth were for doing that. Why are ordinances being considered about pants hanging down?
If blacks are a minority then why does the nightly news show more blacks on crime reports?
It is not my experience that I am reporting on.
My point is that racism is caused by others' choice in not being normal. Same with the Muslims wearing scarves. Not normal.

Simon said :"There has always been a undercurrent of racism but even going back just 10 years with, what at the time was considered a sorry excuse for a president (Bush)"
Racism starts with people of a race doing bad things and others don't like it. Racism against blacks is because blacks have made the news more for crimes and violence and wearing their pants on the ground, etc.
