  Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?

  due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

  remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

  what about the thousands that don't get caught?

  Your question does not say as a child. I will say yes as I was in my late 20s and my girlfriend at the time did that. I didn't complain.
  

  I'm so tired of the complaints of the two witness rule and statements such as this " I want to know, WHO in the hell molests a child in front of two people". Who does anything wrong in front of anyone. The objectives is fewest witnesses. But the two witness rule is for congregation action as support for corroboration or the testimony otherwise is a 'he said, she said' situation and thus a stalemate.

  as an elder, i saw one child abuse situation involving a man who wanted to be an elder and had i believe 8 children.

  he was not in our congregation when this all erupted.

  he denied it and moved to another hall and unbelievably, that body of elders wanted to appoint him since they believed his entire family was lying about him.

  i intend for this to be one of a series of bite-sized ops on the evidence for evolution.. introduction to dna genes are sequences of dna made up of words (codons) each of which are three letters (bases) long.

  there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.

  there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

  How does that DNA one day think that it is better for a segment of the population to have penises while the rest have vaginas and ovaries and then have babies. Then how will those babies feed with no teeth. The DNA thought that the mothers need to develop a way to feed them by changing the DNA to develop breasts with milk.

  What JW habits do you still have?

  since leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.

  however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.

  1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).

  Exelder, those are not JW habits. Those are things that good well balanced and adjusted people do. I don't swear, say God or Jesus, or watch horror films, etc. While God seems irrelevant, evolution is a fairytale.

  how could they divide the entire period into days, if the bible does not say so?

  the king ordered them to fast 20 days before the destruction ???!

  The problem with it is that Jonah said "In 40 days Jehovah will overthrow this city." When 40 days passed, nothing happened. So the assumption is that God pardoned them. Any bloke can come along and say that. There is nothing to back his statement.

  What got me about that dramatization is that the householder made a direct threat to them. The woman should have said "That sounds like a threat" turning to the other woman "Didn't that sound like a threat to you?" Then she should have pulled out her phone and said "I'm calling 911 to report a criminal threat".

  Or she should have said "I'll send someone back who will eat up your dog. Not everyone is afraid of him."

  Jesus was creative in his responses. These dramatizations were lacking in creativity.

  But at that time The Christian Congregation had been formed. What is more Christian than Christ and his disciples? They think congregation is just people sitting in a building listening.

  I was appalled at that explanation too. If they go by Jesus' explanation then every other religion that teaches Jesus is for him.

  But Jesus' saying also goes against their stance on people distributing information in ways not with the congregation. They want all credit and glory.

  There are 2 things that people criticize the organization over that will not affect me. The UN NGO thing, and this ARC. Both are criticisms about the GB and Watchtower and what people did or said and mean nothing about the religion itself.
