"we all have only one Birth, day. Each year after that is just an anniversary “" That is so correct. Like a wedding is once and then after that it is a wedding anniversary.

But the JW stance on birthday celebrations is wrong because: people in the Bible killed others on their birthday celebrations so that automatically makes such things generally wrong.

The Bible describes the devil as a dragon, so all dragons are bad.

The Bible says a serpent, snake was used by the Devil, so are all snakes bad?

What is bad is the generalization, the stereotyping. One thing bad, everything of that category is bad. is the opposite true? One thing good and everything in that category is good?

This is just them being pharisees in creating rules from things vaguely in the Bible. They made refusing birthday treats a matter of loyalty to Jehovah.

He said that 25,658 have died from Covid. Is that worldwide? That is 3.2% of the 800,000 that have died. But 25K is a high number. I would expect that the JWs to have no deaths because they are following the government protocols and doing all of the safety stuff

they have updated their policy on viewing child pornography.. from a congregation standpoint it is not viewed as child sex abuse and is something that should not be automatically handled by a judicial committee.

Does not say viewing. but it might be presumed that viewing would include possessing. Someone could view without doing those things mentioned above.

(e) Affirmative Defense.—It shall be an affirmative defense to a charge of violating subsection (b) that the defendant—

(1) possessed less than 3 such visual depictions; and

(2) promptly and in good faith, and without retaining or allowing any person, other than a law enforcement agency, to access any such visual depiction—

(A) took reasonable steps to destroy each such visual depiction; or

(B) reported the matter to a law enforcement agency and afforded that agency access to each such visual depiction.

What changes are on the way?

i was listening to the co talk to my wife’s congregation on sunday and pretty much the complete talk was justifying doctrinal and organizational changes and pretty much preparing the ‘rank and file’ for upcoming changes.

anyone on hear have any insight of what ‘new light’ is coming in the future?.

No, changing the destruction of Jerusalem to 586 would still keep the end of the gentile times as 1914 area.

That is how it was prior to Nelson Barbour changed it.

Vidqun was right. " in 605 BCE, Daniel and his companions would be deported" That is when the 70 years started ending in 537, give or take a few years. But that is not the issue here. The issue is when did the kings in the line of David cease being sovereign on Jehovah's throne. When that happened, that is when the gentile times started. That happened 2520 years prior to 1914 CE.
