Scriptures That Don’t Fit WT Theology
by Sea Breeze inhere’s a couple good ones: a. jesus said, “come to me and i will give you rest”.. why did jesus command us to go to him and not jehovah?.
why does the bible say that the name of jesus is above every name?

"Mediator - only for the 144,000?"
Why does this keep coming up? Why does nobody (but me) understand what that means? It's not that difficult. But people just want and got to have Jesus as their mediator just as they want to and got to go to heaven. It is all about their wants.

Mistakes made by GB.
by Hellothere in"the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction".
i know this subject been talked about before.

enoughisenough. - What does any of that have to do with being inspired by God. God never told anyone to do any of that in the Bible or anywhere else.

Yes, the governing body is inspired. Inspired is not limited to getting visions or words directly from God.
Inspired means where did the idea come from.
They were inspired by God because they got their ideas from the Bible.

"Revelation 7:9 Great Crowd is in heaven in front of the throne"
No, in front of the throne is not in heaven because it says there were palm branches in their hands. There are no palm branches in heaven. I've not seen any there.
"Revelation 14:4 144,000 are Male Jews..all virgins"
No, it does not say they are Jews. They are from the 12 tribes. Judah is only one tribe, which as that time means nothing because in 96 CE, Israel meant nothing.
It is symbolic also virginity was symbolic. It does not say they are males. It says they did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins. How do you get male out of that?

"Jesus said, “Come to Me and I will give you rest”.Why did Jesus command us to go to him and not Jehovah?"
Because you can't come to Jehovah without coming to Jesus first. Doesn't everyone know how that works?

Just read that Carl Olof Jonsson died yesterday
by slimboyfat infor newbies, who was carl olof jonsson?
he was a jw in sweden who was challenged by a householder in the 1960s, who pointed out to him that secular history books don’t agree with watchtower that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, but instead place the event 20 years later.
the reason the date is important is because it is the starting date for jw chronology which leads to 1914 as the end of the gentile times, and the beginning of the last days, as jws understand it.

The reason the date is important is because it is the starting date for JW chronology which leads to 1914 as the end of the Gentile Times, and the beginning of the Last Days, as JWs understand it."
His problem was like so many others is they didn't think outside the box. The box had the destruction of Jerusalem as the start of the gentile times and so the arguments ensued as to when the destruction was. And they all were trapped with the wrong start from the wrong understanding. So Carl was no one to look up to. Just a lost sheep leading many astray.
The start of the Gentile times was not the destruction of Jerusalem. It's amazing that so many miss this.
2 Samule 7:12 "When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, that shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. 16 And thy house and thy kingdom shall be made sure for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever."
That was a prophesy leading to Christ as being the seed that will be on the kingdom forever. Not dependent upon Jerusalem. Jesus never sat on the throne in Jerusalem. Infact David's descendants lost sovereignty and thus the throne was not established forever. So was Jehovah wrong?
That prophesy was paused, in 607,before the destruction of Jerusalem, which happened in 587. And unpaused 2520 years later in 1914.

"Carolyn Wah (Wah is Assistant General Counsel for the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York,"
Yeah? So what of it?
The apostle Paul said he does not permit a woman to teach or hold authority over a man in the congregation. Lawyers do neither. They work in the courtroom.

Would I be disfellowshiped for this?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

What would happen if you just tell the elders "Why would I care what the circuit overseer or Watchtower or governing body or apostles say?"

I have a writeup on why blood transfusions and the modern medical use of blood is not against God's law as stated in Genesis. Not based on medicals but based on legals and fairness. If it is God's law, then only God can expand it to include other things than eating it. Neither the apostles nor the president and vice president of the WTBTS nor the governing body has the authority to expand the scope of it otherwise they would be like the pharisees in adding to God's law.
I'd like to send it in to the Watchtower and see what their response would be but I would need a fake name and return address for reply so they don't send it to the elders of any congregation.
