No, they are not. Paul said all scripture is inspired of God. He was referring to the prior writings and how they were the history of God's people and they were prophesies from God.

No, playing the lottery is not wrong. As the OP said, it is a few bucks a week. A person can spend $5 on lottery tickets or he could spend it on beer. Which is better? Why is no one questioning the beer purchase but they question the lottery tickets purchase?

The only reason that they say gambling is wrong is because of that scripture in Isaiah about the god of good luck.

but the God of good luck is Jehovah. They don't even know what luck is.

This is just more superstition that JWs have taken on and adhere to without thinking it through.

for catholics, the council of florence settled this issue, stating that this apostolic regulation was only a temporary measure to facilitate agreement between jews and gentiles in the early church.

They applied the word 'abstain' to all 4 things as a convenience.

They didn't expand the scope of God's law as the apostles did not have the authority to do such. The Apostles and Older men were not functioning as a Governing Body. They were functioning as a court. The job of a court is to state what the law is, not what it should be.

God's Law on blood is as stated in Gen 9:4.

Actually, you are not selling plasma. It is illegal to sell body parts. They pay you for your time.

And the apostles saying "abstain from blood" is not an expansion of the law. All 4 prohibitions were listed under "abstain". The apostles did not have the authority to alter God's law. If they did, it would not be God's law, it would be the apostle's law.

Women normally have friends and many friends. She has people she can talk to. Men don't have friends. Men don't have people they can talk to. So men feel ghosted by their wives. So men just want to expand their emotional support and it is not all about sex.

This topic reminds me that the elders are like the high sparrow and the others who hear accusations and then accuse and try to get that one to CONFESS and then try the person, all the while telling the person it is the God's that are knowing and seeing and directing.

God has no law against the medical use of blood.

The only law is Gen 9:4.

The apostles and older men were not a governing body. Even with the holy spirit's help they can not expand the scope of Gen 9:4. Only God can. And he has not done that.
