There are no more anointed ones left in the world. One does not have to be anointed by holy spirit to be on the Governing body, one just has to say one was.

i cannot be part of a community that blatantly rejects the sacrifice of jesus in that demonic memorial ritual.
amazing what information you find when you start researching.. i’m writing my letter and posting it to the kingdom hall this morning.

jhine, why does what Paul wrote matter? However, they at that time didn't have the stories so the memorial was their way of remembering and since Paul was a historian, he used the history that he knew.
Even then it only applied to the people of his day, those that were anointed with holy spirit.

We were never instructed to observe the memorial.
Jesus only told the 11 that was there. They were the only ones who could keep doing that in remembrance of him because they were the only ones with memories of him.
None of us today have memories of Jesus. None of us walked and talked with him. We only know him because we read stories of him. So to remember him, we just reread the stories.

I remember back in 1976 when I was a kid the songs "Devil Woman" and "Magic Man" were considered bad. Also Paul McCartney's "With a little Luck". I've always liked that song, but couldn't let others know.
Now with this thought of Jehovah being offended by violent movies, etc -

There is nothing wrong with 1914. It is solid doctrine that preceded the governing body, Rutherford, Russell, etc.
The beard thing is going to create divisions because people like me are conservative on that. Not in a religious sense, but as Lett said back in the 60s people started growing their hair out of rebellion. I'm for being a rebel, but a rebel with a cause. Bad grooming is not a good cause.

What I didn't like and agree with was how Lett at least 2 times say Paul under inspiration wrote. What Paul wrote back then was good for back then. It is just good advice today. He wasn't inspired in the sense that God told him or prompted him to write that. He was inspired in that he knew God's heart and direction on the matter.
