  I hate to say it but in my book there are some lives that are worth more than others. The question is which is which? I mean, I feel that my daughter's life is worth more than mine. I don't think anyone would disagree. If that is true then even if it's minute there are differences in the value of every human life. It's easy to say that someone who has committed premeditated murder should have less value placed on his life than the police officer sent to arrest him. When it comes to our countrymen versus another countries population the difference may be microscopic but I would have to say that, Yes, American's lives are worth more.

  Even if we had proof of a creator with a plan. We will never have proof of a creator that cares. Oh yeah, Christians will say that he sent his son to die for us. Big Whoop! There are many here in this country that sent their sons to die in war for our freedom or someone else's freedom and none of them have the power to ressurrect their own sons. No, creator or not, we are on our own.

  Cabbage soup diet and such

  did you loose weight on it?

  i need to loose a quick ten pounds and i heard you can drop fast on this diet.

  Did Jehovah Provide? Examples please

  how many times have we heard from the platform about jehovah and looking after pioneers etc especially if they were short of money or something material.. in our cong it wasnt jehovah it was other brothers and sisters doing the providing.

  usually those who were actually in a full time secular job.

  the ones who took all the stick about not putting kingdom interests first but instead tried to pay their own way in the world without deliberately working short hours and claiming benefits.. this sort of thing really used to make me sick.. we even had one pio sister that used to make her bible studides fell sorry for her.

  I was always one of those that believed that somehow Jehovah would take care of things. It gave me confidence to take risks in business. I think that did more harm than good. I sometimes have to fight that mentality even now. I now realize that I have complete control of my own destiny.

  sometimes when i point out the societys poor track record, particularly their many changes and errors, i am faced with the argument that all of these changes were in the past.

  now, because of the refining of their beliefs, they are all correct.

  One little point to add to the birthday section. Job and his family celebrated birthdays. Check it out. Ask a Jdub to read Job 3:1 and tell you what "his day" means. They will have to tell you that it means the day of his birth. Then have them read Job 1:4. I wish someone had shown me that when I was a witness.

  Will Saddam get caught?

  Hmmmmm I'll bet that the US has already made a deal with Saddam. You see, the US wants control of the oil in the region. We already have Kuwait and Afganistan. We couldn't go in there and take over Iraq if Saddam wasn't such a bad guy. So the US tells Saddam to keep up the bad guy routine and we'll bomb everywhere but where you are and then when we have control of the country Saddam will be able to slip free just like Bin Laden. Who knows. The US could always change thier mind and kill him but ..................We love conspiracy theories don't we?

  Good one Brian,

  I loved your rant. I pretty much agreed with everything you said. Sounds like you are going through some of the same thought processes that I did when I left. I would have to say though that it is possible that a god created everything just to sit back and watch. When I was a kid I would create and environment in a glass jar and then put the red ants and the black ants together just to watch them fight to the death. Cruel? Yes. But human.

  i got a not so unexpected call today

  well, about a month ago, i had to have a talk with the elders.

  primarily due to my lack of meeting attendance.

  i decided to make an effort and attend, after about two sunday meetings, i found out about the un and haven't been back since.

  Freewill,

  Sounds like you're thinking clearly hear. Stay in control. Remember that you are not playing by their rules anymore. You do not have to tell them anything. You do not have to be honest with them just so they can disfellowship them. Call it spiritual warfare if you choose. You only have to think about what's important to you. There are people here who will tell you that if your family would shun you then they aren't worth it. I personally don't believe that's true. I know the power that the organization has over them and I pity them. Yes they are victims just like I was. I have succesfully drifted and I value the precious time I get to spend with my parents even though they think I've gone crazy.
