How do Jehovah's Witnesses get from 1914 to 1919?

i have written an article that explains how the watchtower society gets from 607 bce to 1914 (http://www.jehovahswitnessblog.com/faqs/why-is-1914-important/) but i need some input so that i can write an article on how they get from 1914 to (via 1918) 1919.. are we talking about ezra, 1:2-4 when the persian king cyrus allows the israelites to go and rebuild the temple 3 and a half years after exiling them?
if so, how has the watchtower used this passage to get to 1919??.

having used my time before the meeting to research the underlying material instead of highlighting my magazine, i personally found this to be an upsetting study, and decided to put this warning here in the hopes that some active witnesses read it.. the most important thing i want to say to you is that the actual flow of events in this bible account were severely misrepresented, and that there are some disturbing implications in the distortions that were made.
1. hezekiah's father ahaz makes himself a vassal to assyria out of fear of their overwhelming might (2 kings 16:7, 8).. 2. upon becoming king, hezekiah rebels against assyria (2 kings 18:7).

Don't Miss the Meetings - Hebrews 10:24, 25 Re-examined
by Oubliette ini recently got an unsolicited lecture from a well-intentioned but nevertheless misguided jw friend.
the gist of it was that i needed to go to all the meetings or i would miss out on "everlasting life.".
i responded that i do not need to go to meetings to have a relationship with god.

Seven Headed Wild Beast officially no longer represents UN?
by donuthole inaccording to a new "bible questions answered": " the wild beast with seven heads introduced at revelation 13:1 represents the worldwide political system.".
i know that they have quietly been backing away from the un identification for awhile.
is this feature on jw.org a new official teaching, or just a spin for the sake of the public?.

What i said is that the "image", because it's made "to the beast" or in its honor, doesn't necessarily has to be similar to the original beast.

are there any Dubstep producers out there?
by WillowTrees ini'm trying to find someone that specifically makes dubstep with ableton 9. i have few questions if i could just ask them i'll be out of your hair but i'm really interested and hoping someone is out there that is willing to answer them.. .

Reorganization Branches Belgium and The Netherlands
by Gorbatchov inthe belgium branche of jw in kraainem will be closed.. the netherlands branche of jw in emmen will be reorganized into an ict devolpment office.. all the oldtimers jw staff in emmen is told they have to leave, they are dismissed.. of course it will be explained that the organization is on the move, a blessing from jehovah.. gorby.

NIV:
14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
The greek term used in 14 is "tõ", meaning "to the".
The greek term used three times in 15 is "tou", meaning "of the".
It appears that the "image" is made by men in honor of the beast, but not necessarily in its semblance. Then, such image to the beast is given life and power to kill those who wouldn't worship it.

Just low enough to keep family and friends connected.
As some elders have put it, Satan has used my "intelectuallity" (LOL, really??) to ensnare me, and they will pray for me to come back to my senses.
I suppose Jesus said "woe to you, intellectuals, for you don't discern my organization and stop others from discerning it".... I can't find that elusive Bible text, but I'm sure it must exist somewhere in a dark corner of one of the gospels.

Kate, time will tell how long will I be able to withstand with it.
I've come to realize just to what extent many of the Elders are truly 'worshippers of the organization', in the sense that, no matter what the WT does or writes, the errors, the false prohecies blunders, the contradictions with the Bible ... it's all under the permission and blessing of Jehovah, and we do best to obey and heed to it all, without questioning. It's mind-blowing, really. My wife is shocked with it and now when something is said from the platform that we both find hilarious, we just eye each other and pinch each other's hands...it's a good sport, actually. :P
