I think this would be a fine idea for a fiction book authored by our own talented Terry. What do you think ...hmmm? Would you take on the challenge?

in 2018, cyprus goes bankrupt (again).
many of its inhabitants, lacking jobs and prospectives of a better future, emigrate to more prosperous countries.
cyprus' society is on the brink of collapse.

I bet the methods of execution would be stoning and hanging - just because they're "biblical".

should christians drink tea?.
would you like a cup of tea?.
this seemingly innocent question has been asked countless times, and is regarded as a gesture of courtesy and hospitability in many parts of the world, in both eastern and western culture.
Uh oh, I see a connection with Ayurveda. See? See? Magic! Demons! Evil!

i keep reading that jehovah's witnesses are in effect monsters.
i keep reading that they kinda leave chaos and distrust in their wake.
so i simply wondered if anyone had anything nice to say about them?.
Try working at the traffic department of an RC where parking space is scarce. You'll see how nice Witnesses change when under a little stress. Under the polished surface, we're all humans, after all. No surprises.

in a recent meeting with elders, an argument was used to the effect that jehovah has always [= throughout history] used, or operated through, an organization; therefore, the wts must be that organization today, since god must be using one.
naturally, i know what arguments i've used to counter that argument.
but i'm interested in hearing yours.
Stop making sense, Oubliette!

now there's no going back !.
i've just finished cleaning up and decommissioning the old server so for better or worse, we're stuck with the new version now - i hope it's at least no worse the the old site and hopefully getting better as i fix issues and make improvements and people get used to the changes.
apart from rss feeds i think all the features that the old site had are now available on the new one plus many extra ones.. the old server had faithfully served us for the last 3+ years and will now drift away, probably to be used by some other site.
I concur, on the iPad things don't look as neat and the ads become obtrusive sometimes. Still, it's perfectly useable.

The more I use the new site, the more intuitive and fluid it seems. Like most things, takes a bit getting used to a change, but this has gone fairly well.

Thank you for all your great work, Simon!
