New forum: one month progress report
by Simon inwell, we survived the first month at least!
yes, the new forum is now 1 month old.. of course there have been some issues and i'm grateful that people have been patient while i worked on them.
a big thank-you to everyone who's been patient, have provided useful feedback or just been willing to adapt to something new during the transition.. i've also made some improvements along the way and am fairly happy with how things are from a basic functionality and performance perspective so it's time to start looking at some of the new features i've been planning.

After some initial unfamiliarity, I must say the new forum has been a welcome evolution. A few quirky things on the iPad, namely on formatting the post (strikethrough characters don't work, paste function within post window behaves erraticly... ) but overall, a very positive change.
One thing I've noticed about the like/dislike feature: it's possible to "like" the same post multiple times. This sort of defeats its purpose, as it should be one vote per user. Is it a bug or was it meant like that?

Having my stitches out....

my thumb pad is tingly and burning.
the skin around the stitches is numb.. with the injury being so bad, it is going to take at least a year for my thumb to be 90% recovered.

Ok where do I start: satanism, witchcraft, gambling, smoking pot, cannibalism, crack, crass sexual orgies, theft, blood sausages, worshipping angels, yoga, heavy drinking, and eating pudding with my bare hands.
....... Nahh.......
the only bah habit I got is the bad habit of no longer attending meetings or go out in the field service, thinking for myself and befriending apostates. And that's about it.

It has nothing to do with headship or cuckolding. Simply, she, like most sincere Witnesses, allows her indoctrination to dictate her priorities in life. It's a sad fact, but I don't need to read more into it than what it really is.

It's a complicated affair to narrow down the "clergy-penitent" privilege to the catholic concept of confession. Other religious denominations may disagree that this only involves one clergy member, for example.

I'll just be focusing in improving my own life, enjoy my hobbies and my business, and being as happy as I possibly can, all the while providing my family with good times whenever possible. My child is now getting ready to go to university and is getting amazingly good at one hobby, coming out of a dark time of adolescence and blossoming to become a great person, one I'm really proud of. I'm sure I did some good by not allowing the Watchtower to suck up another life.
And yes, now it's all easy-going love bombing, but soon the demands for her time, do more, the never-ending hamster wheel, the gossip, the double-faced and fake friendships will take a toll on her. And it will be the same old, same old. And I hope that she'll be very uncomfortable with the nonsense that is spewed from the platform every so often, after knowing what she knows already. And I'll try to be here for my wife, in time, when she comes around again.
