in 1986, peter davies was on holiday in kenya after graduating from louisiana state university .. .
on a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air.
the elephant seemed distressed, so peter approached it very carefully.
ahahahaha brilliant!

according to this article, a recent pew research concluded that until 2050, an estimated cumulative net number of 65.050.000 will opt out of the christian faith, and the trend is accelerating.
on the other hand, the "unaffiliated" will have a net growth of 61.490.000.. eden.

i recently got an unsolicited lecture from a well-intentioned but nevertheless misguided jw friend.
the gist of it was that i needed to go to all the meetings or i would miss out on "everlasting life.".
i responded that i do not need to go to meetings to have a relationship with god.

40-50 years after saying "armegeddon is right around the corner" we are now making progress!!!.
gotta have a sense of humor to deal with this stuff..
please fill in and return to god.
god would like to personally thank you for your belief and continued.
___ divine inspiration.
I must protest. Where's the "Submit Ticket" function? I'd like to file a complaint to God.

several times over the past few months i have had conversations, both here and in real life, with religious people making all sorts of interesting and conflicting claims.
i like to know how things work, so generally i will ask questions to net out what i am being told and see if it can be explained and make sense.. for instance, if someone said 2+2=4 and i asked how, there are a variety of ways that could be shown to me, a number line, physical objects being put together, counting on fingers and toes, etc.
indeed, in my personal life, i often have to explain how certain technologies work, sometimes planned, sometimes off the cuff, from a variety of group sizes to a varying degree of technical expertise.

Ok you're nitpicking again on a tangent and you don't seem the least interested in the core of the comment; I take a rest, because I don't want to engage in this sort of exercise again that only serves to derail threads and tire me out. It's your thread....and I'm out.

is there anyway to perform either of the two options listed above.
i created a post with a title that is confusing and would like to correct it.
is this possible for myself or an admin to perform?
Simon, at least on iPad, I can't go back and correct the title of a thread, even one minute after I post it. Happened to me recently too. Try as I did, the "edit" near the title wouldn't work.

A common reason why many creationists conflate evolution with abiogenesis is actually understandable - albeit inaccurate - because the latter is conceptually the logical corolary of the first, even if there's no proof of that hypothesis. Many non-believers rely on that assumption, anyway.
better now?
