I am still not able to solve this God's name paradox...

i am finishing to read the entire bible (nwt 2013) for my first time (my fault) and i wrote down hundreds, maybe thousands, of questions not clear to me, but one especially came in my mind meditating on god's name.. if i wanted to summarize the entire bible in one phrase i would say (even before the kingdom): god’s name sanctification.. god is jealous about his name.

he does everything for the love of his name, and he wants to be called and prayed using his name.

no doubt about all this (repeated several times in the bible), but it involves the pronunciation of his name.. god left us his name in the form of יהוה which is unpronounceable.

So, we need to add some vowels יְהֹוָה to pronounce it “Jehovah” in English
The question is: what vowels are they and who added them?
The answer is: they are the vowels of the Hebrew word “Adonai”

First off, you need to get the, 'the vowels came from 'adonai' out of your head. As can be seen that there is the vowel E in Jehovah and there is no E in 'adonai'.

You rightful note that God left us his name in the form יהוה

Here are 4 more names that are consonants only and need vowels added to pronounce:

יוסף יהודה ישעיה יהושע

Those names are:

YeHOshua, YshaYaH, YeHUdaH, YOsef

Notice that the vowels E, O, A, can be found in them. Keep in mind that these names never stopped being written or pronounced. These names have in them the same consonants as the name God left us in regards to his name. The consonants are Y H V. יהו

When you look at the names written in Hebrew you can see these consonants. (YHV) When you look at the names written in English you see the YH but no V. That is because the V is a holding marker for the vowels U and O.

In 3 of the names above the V is in them but 2 are replaced using the O and 1 is replaced using the U. So based on those names you have the vowels E and A and the vowels U and O because of the V.

So here are the vowels we are dealing with to insert in the consonants of God's name: E, O/U, A

Keep in mind that it will be either a O or U, not both. And the O or U replaces the V, they are not added in addition too.

Example:

It is YeHOshua, not YeHOVshua

It is YeHUdaH, not YeHUVdah

Likewise, in using those vowels with the consonants of God's name it would be:

YeHOaH, not YeHOVaH

Or in today's English because we use the J instead of the Y it would be:

JeHOaH, not JeHOVaH

The main take away is that putting aside the mistake of keeping the V in, the appropriate vowels to use for God's name are E, O, A. This is based on the comparison of other Hebrew names (that never stopped being spoken or written) that contain the prefix and suffix of God's name.

Such as:

JeHOshaphat – JeremiaH

JeHOiakim – IsaiaH

JeHOram – NehemiaH

JeHOiachin – ZechariaH

יהו (YeHO) + ה (aH) = YeHOaH/JeHOaH

BTW, the names above YeHOshua, YshaYaH, YeHUdaH, YOsef

"in all these years of being a jw, i actually never gave it much thought as to why jehovah had to kill millions of innocent animals that had nothing to do with mankind becoming evil.".

i keep picturing in my mind, all the baby puppies and kitties that were destroyed by jehovah.

I believe children are not evil

You have two statements as to what you believe in regards to evil.

On the first one since you don't believe ALL people are evil does it mean that you believe SOME people are evil?

On the second one since you don't believe children are evil does it mean you believe adults are evil?

In either case do you believe ANYONE is evil and if so do you believe that an evil person deserves to die?

Where did you get your sense of judging what makes a person evil?

anyone following the derek chauvin trial?.

if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.

there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

This is the sad reality of cardiac arrest and how fast you die. I can't find the longer version of this that shows him laughing and doing his show but where this picks up from is the moment he went into cardiac arrest. The audience and even the assistant have no idea what is happening to him (he dying before their eyes) they think it part of the show.

Seeing this (notice 3 cops are not on him) you can relate this to the george floyd video at 8:24pm-8:25pm.

A good office doing his job is now in jail like a evil criminal, and a criminal is now hailed has a hero and a good man and worthy of honor.

Putting aside that george was trying to use counterfeit money, how many of those that support george are concerned at the fact that a guy so out of it on drugs that was passing out asleep behind the wheel, was driving in that condition. How many people have lost loved ones due to DUI drivers.

When it is said that while he was down on the ground he called out for his ma’ma because he knew he was dying, why did he call out for his ma'ma in the 2019 video.

When he said he couldn’t get in the back of the cop car because he was claustrophobic, why was he able to get in the car back in 2019.

For those that say that the reason he was saying he couldn’t breathe was due to him being on the ground in prone position with 3 cops on him, why was he saying he couldn’t breathe when he was in the back seat fighting to get out.

A. He was lying about not being able to breathe in the car and on the ground, as this is what cops say happens many times that they lie and fake medical issues when being arrested which is a form of resistance.

B. He really was having medical issues causing him to pass out in his own car and to feel short of breathe like he couldn’t breathe in the back of the cop car which would mean that for that same medical reason (heart/drugs) is why while on the ground he felt short of breathe saying he couldn’t breathe. It had nothing to do with the 3 cops. And the facts show that the cops were taking his claims of not being able to breathe seriously because within the first minute of being on the ground they called EMS for his bloody nose but by minute two or three they called again to step up the response time due to breathing.

I would lay down in that same spot with those 3 cops on me for 10 mins and I would be breathing the whole time and I would get back up. The bottom line is he had a cardiac arrest in that moment brought on by OD. Again why else was he passing out behind the wheel of his own car before the cops got there. If the cops were never called and he was left alone to stay passed out he would have died there in his own car. Or if they got him in the cop car he would have died in the back seat on the way to the station. If you are going to have a heart attack it’s going to happen wherever you are and whatever you are doing at the time.

Look at Prince who yesterday died 5 years ago in his house in his elevator, cardiac arrest.

George Michael died in his bed, cardiac arrest.

Amy Winehouse in her bed, cardiac arrest.

Carrie Fisher died on plane cardiac arrest.

Interesting what is said in regards to Carrie and cardiac arrest:

[Fisher was on a commercial flight on December 23, 2016, from London to Los Angeles when she suffered a medical emergency around fifteen minutes before the aircraft landed. A passenger seated near Fisher reported that she had stopped breathing.]

[cardiac arrest, meaning their heart has stopped effectively pumping blood to the brain, lungs and other organs. In that case, the American Heart Association says, the patient loses consciousness and has no pulse. Death can occur within minutes if the victim does not receive treatment.]

None of those people had 3 cops on their back...

He wasn't strung out high when the arrest took place, that can be confirmed by the video...He was cognitively fluent during the arrest from the start.

The store worker that called 911 in regards to the fake $20 said he appears to be high on something. When he left the store and went back to his car according to the other two people with him in the car said he was passing out/falling asleep behind the wheel.
