Perry, I am just amazed at the fact that you posted this particular youtube clip. I just saw it myself for the first time a few nights ago and it was an accident and strange how I ended up watching this clip and now here you are posting the same exact one.

I have trouble sleeping and I am usually up after my wife goes to bed so Friday night was no different and since I don’t care for network/cable TV I usually watch something on netflix or youtube. So Friday night I put ‘bible moives’ into the search in youtube and was just looking at the results to find something from there to start watching until I thought I was good to fall asleep and then go to bed.

Well I starting watching one about Revelation, then the next morning when I told my wife that was what I ended up watching (because she likes watching these too) before I came to bed…she asked me to put it on then at that time so she could start watching it too since I didn’t finish it. Well when I looked for it again in the youtube search it was there but there were more titles with the word Revelation in them and so by mistake I clicked one different from the one of what I was actually watching but just continued watching this one anyway.

It was basically just a reading of Revelation and when they read Revelation 2:12,13 it caught my attention when I heard that in Pergamum is where the throne of Satan is. So this intrigued me to look up what is modern-day Pergamum, which I found, is Turkey.

Ok so no big deal. Now here it was Saturday night and same thing can’t sleep so looking for more bible related movies/content on youtube. I found and started watching the book of John but as you know youtube has that side list of other videos that can be seen even when you are watching one you picked, so because I saw that it said Turkish as well as BTG, I because of having fresh in my mind from earlier in the day that I saw that it is said that in Turkey (Pergamum) that that is where Satan dwells/has his throne I was interested in watching that video which I then did. And then at 34:37 they even cite the scripture that I had looked up to begin with and now here you go posting this same video…

I also noticed that the sayings of Jesus were referred to as Jehovah saying it. I guess they do believe in the trinity.

Governing Body

hello,.

i am currently in a discussion with a jw about the governing body.. i have read alot of articles regarding it, however whenever i bring up what i have read, i am refuted with scripture, such as acts 15, where they say there was a governing body, who sent out elders and men etc.. does anyone have a website that i may not know of, that has answers to what they refute with?

or any help here or good thought provoking questions to respond with would be much appreciated.. thank you kindly.

I don’t see the point in trying to prove that there was or was not a GB back in the 1st century…is it just to say the there is no need for one today??? That is just like saying there is no need for companies to have CEO’s and managers, etc…

The only thing that needs to be disproved or at least called into question is rather or not the current teachings/beliefs coming from GB are correct or not.

On the following site you can find many questions that you can ask that will put those trying to answer in a catch-22…the questions bring out the truth and exposes the errors, or in the case of the WTS/GB, flat out intentional lies.

This clip (the original one) and the one that he is speaking about tight pants should be sent to some gay activist group and let them make national news about it. If someone can put the two unedited versions on here and research what would be the best group to send it to, then everyone on here should all send the same email to the group in hopes that they (gays) will make a fuss stating they are offended. Maybe even send it to Ellen Degeneres show and Jimmy Kimmel show. (Jimmy is not gay but he does a good job of making fun of people that are homophobic)

Yes, that is true as well, which it would be whatever the 'Hebrew name' that was said to be given…and it certainly was not 'Jesus' but yet many don't seem to make a fuss about using that name.

VI by any chance have you seen my post on this thread…anyhow I just wanted to make mention that although what you say in regards to Jesus’ name is 100% correct, it is important to point out that you are using the shorten form Hebrew name “Yeshua (Joshua)” but the fuller form is “Yehoshua (Jehoshua).

This is important to note because the fuller form shows the prefix Yeho/Jeho and since Jesus said that he came in the name of his father and because Yehoshua is said to mean ‘Jehovah is salvation’, then you should expect that whatever God’s name really is it should be reflected in Jesus’ Hebrew name.

Depending on what 4 you use, YHWH, YHVH, JHWH, JHVH, the name would be YeHoWaH, YeHoVaH, JeHoWaH, JeHoVaH. In any case the prefix Yeho/Jeho can be seen as well as the ‘HO’ sound.

Also IMO, the name ‘YaHWeH’ seems to be less likely to be correct. The YHWH can be seen and the vowels a and e are there (vowels used in other English forms of Hebrew names) but it is missing the vowel o which causes it to miss the Yeho/Jeho, and the ‘HO’ sound as in Yehoshua/Jehoshua.

HM-TM you are correct in your statement and it baffles me why there are those that harp on the correct pronunciation of God’s name but have no problem using the name Jesus when it comes to the Son of God.

His Hebrew name is Yehoshua, so why not call him that or the English form of the Hebrew, Jehoshua? No instead they call him the English form of the Latin form of the Greek form of the Hebrew.

Hebrew - Yehoshua > Greek – Iesous > Latin - Iesus > English – Jesus

English – Jehoshua

As far as a 13th century mistake, the name can be seen by Hebrew names that no one disputes as being incorrect.

JHVH + vowels E O A = Jehovah

Jehoshua - Jehovah Is Salvation

Jehoram - Jehovah Is Exalted

Jehoshaphat - Jehovah Is Judge

Jeremiah - Jehovah Exalts

Isaiah - Salvation of Jehovah

Zephaniah - Jehovah Has Concealed

Obadiah - Servant of Jehovah

And as far as EL.

Ezekiel - God Strengthens

Daniel - My Judge Is God

Joel - Jehovah Is God
