@Sparrowdown
"Shaun of the Dead" right? I preferred "Hot Fuzz" :)
in this picture from the latest watchtower, what in the world is the guy watching on the left side of the picture??
it looks like a female vampire holding a lightsaber.
am i missing something?.

something that bothered me even when i was a watchtower company drone was the thought of dying and being resurrected in paradise.
would the resurrected person really be me or just a copy of me?
if god could recreate one of me, he could also recreate five of me.
@vw.org
No you’d just end up having arguments with yourself because if you wouldn’t want to do the cleaning, etc, why would they? Plus they would know what you planned to do with them after the work was done as they are, after all, you! :)

By the way, your comment reminds me of an Original Series Star Trek story called “Spock Must Die” where Doctor McCoy reasons on a similar theme relating to transporting people. The first time someone is transported, they are effectively being killed: having all their atoms disassembled then duplicated in another location and reassembled.

Obviously just a copy; a perfect one at that but not you. The Bible got it right in saying to dust you are and to dust you will return! Like a digital copy of anything: it’s on different media but sounds the same (referring to music).
If I died and was resurrected, I know how my clone would feel: glad to be alive but constantly thinking about how he wasn’t the original. :)
my spies tell me that the attendance for hellaby this last sunday was only 600.. that's all i know.
i imagine some on here have perhaps some more insights into why.
however, it seems rather low, don't you think?.
@The Fall Guy
yes they did indeed buy much more land then sell it off in bits and pieces. They even bought Hellaby Hotel, which was in ruins. They restored it, got all the licences and then sold it off as a functioning hotel.
we were told that thanks to selling off most of the original land, this paid for EPAH and the land. That’s why I could never understand how the running costs were so high every weekend. Electric must be very expensive int Yorkshire!
hello everyone, my wife wants nothing to do with my awakening.
every time i try explaining something she tells me she doesn't want to hear it.
i believe she's afraid of learning something she's not ready for.
I'm in the same boat mate!
bless you, that was a big sneeze you let out sister.. sister- ah, what does "bless you" mean?.
oh, it's pagan.
because people bless the soul of the person so they don't escape from their physical bodies.. sister- right, it is difficult to change the little things, but we can please jehovah by staying away from those things.. .... this is a scenario that happened when i accidentally (naturally) said "bless you" to the jw sister.
In fact if the WTS did their research properly they’d realise that it dates back to the days of the bubonic plague. One of the first signs that you had the plague was sneezing so people would say “bless you” wishing/hoping that you wouldn’t come down with the plague.
As Scratchme says, in Spanish we say “Salud” or “Jesús”. I personally always say “salud” as a sign of respect and courtesy. It’s automatic. I also say it when having a drink with a non-JW or another PIMO JW (in this context, salud is translated as “cheers”.)
it's a deja vu from matthew..."for nation shall rise against nation.....".
it seem that periods of instability occur around the world periodically.
since the arab spring to brexit and trumpism people want change.
La Guardia Civil didn’t beat up the civilians; that was their own Mossos (Català police).
i'm looking for this brochure mentioned in god's kingdom book.
i've heard it's only for gubernamental authorities.
otherwise someone would have it in pdf format?
I can’t find a copy of this anywhere!! It was released in June 2013 apparently.
as a witness i always found a way to not have to embarrass myself by sitting down for the national anthem.. i’m curious.
how many of you stood up for the patriotic song?.
Yes and I still do out of respect. I've never sung the English one (never agreed with the sentiments either about extolling the "gracious Queen") but I have sung (and continue to sing) both the Scottish and Welsh national anthems (tends to be more in pubs than at sporting events!)
