  something i found on facebook..... a bit of interesting history reading .... enjoy ...they used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive you were "piss poor".

  but worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't even afford to buy a pot......they "didn't have a pot to piss in" & were the lowest of the low.

  the next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be.

  They are so hypocritical in their rules as they think nothing of wearing pinkie rings, although in several cultures in the world this signifies that you're gay.

  However, their reason for not wearing beards is that (according to WT) in several cultures in the world, it is not acceptable for a Minister of God.

  Double standards shining through again.

  not completely but the expensive renting of halls or assembly hall ownership.

  maybe with streaming they could have assemblies at the kh and stream the program.

  i bet they cut costs in a lot of ways.

  with the ever present issue of the society seeming to run out of money, and constantly asking the flock for more donations, maybe it is time to revive this quote!.

  the leaked financial dept videos that have done the rounds, clearly show the society is in desperate trouble financially.. so, where is the "almighty's hand"?

  I remember when we studied the Kingdom Rules book last year and the announcements, RIGHT AFTER THE STUDY WITH THAT QUOTE, they read a begging letter for money! There were more than a few chuckles in the hall at the irony.

  Their phobias spread to music too. I know JWs whomstill wont listen to KISS as they think the band name means “Kids In Satan’s Service”. All the other freaky small Bible following religions started that one and the WT jumped straight on the bandwagon.

  Nowadays you can refute those myths by searching the Net but the JWs still stick to their old superstitions.
