  9 hour drive, 630 miles.....doable, but dang it! Too bad I have to work Monday morning, I would so totally come! I would love meeting some of you guys in person

  How to tell family why you are no longer attending meetings?

  so it has been over a month, maybe closer to two that i haven't attended a meeting.

  my stress level has gone way down, and my life is pretty good right now.

  well as you know, there are tons of nosy witnessess.

  Wait you said "we aren't attending" has your wife come out? Did I miss that topic? I've been following your other posts, so did I miss something?

  I love how the JW rumor mill functions...."I heard from this friend of a friends, of a friend, of a friend...etc, said you aren't attending anymore. They listen to that instead of asking you.

  Just yesterday a friend of mine who is going the fading way was telling me his brother came up to him and asked "Elder so-and-so said you write a DA letter and are no longer a JW, it that true?" My friend was dumbfounded because he hasn't written a letter and he isn't even talking to anyone. So who is spreading this? One of the many things I hated about the JW's, the rumor mill and gossip!

  All I can say is tread carefully with your family, and be careful what you say to them. My family found out I haven't turned any time in for 3 months, and I'm not even technically inactive yet and they have all called me an apostate and won't talk to me anymore....and that was just because I said I haven't gone in service or meetings in 3 months.....Please brother just be careful how you handle it and try to control the emotions....especially if you don't want to lose your family. Use your health as an excuse if you have to.

  Sometimes....I wish I could have the bed all to myself!

  My husband and I started with a queen size bed and my husband is a very tall and muscular man, so it was hard, now we have a Cal King bed and I try not to complain because I still remember sleep in a queen bed.

  Australia formally charges former JW elder

  former jehovah's elder on sex assault charge .

  a former jehovah's witness elder who apologised to his alleged victim on facebook has been charged with two counts of indecent assault.

  richard hill will appear in the heidelberg magistrate's court on march 1 over allegations that he sexually assaulted a six-year-old girl in 1981.. the victim, now 38, told fairfax media that mr hill did everything except penetrate her - ''he tried, but couldn't manage''.. she said she ''did not realise the gravity'' of what had happened until she was about 14.. at that point she told her mother, who could not act because of a jehovah's witness rule that allegations of sexual abuse would only be acted on if two elders witnessed it, she said.. much later, the victim confronted mr hill on facebook.

  I hope more of these sickos get caught and get the book thrown at them!!!!! Or when they are in prison they get "their's" from the other inmates!

  because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

  she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

  There were a few times when my husband and I were still going to meetings that we would say "screw it" to going to the meeting and....um...just stay home LOL.

  i jumped in several months back with a highly controversial subject of my daughter being sexually abused by an elder and the efforts we were taking to bring him to justice.

  A Few Questions and Hoping for an Answer

  since i am still fairly new to this whole "apostate thing" and have only been on jwn for about a month, i have questions for those of you who have been "out" for awhile or have been on here for a long time.. .

  i have seen how many new people have joined since i joined, is that something that happens a lot?

  The most recent and confirmed "new light" is the the faithful and discreet slave class (all of the 144,00) are no longer the 144k, it is the governing body that is now the faithful and discreet slave.

  There is rumor going around now the Governing Body are going to be changing their thoughts on the great crowd, but that hasn't been confirmed and is just rumor at this point.

  Holy crap! That is such a good idea!!!!! I know there are active elders on here who are fed up with JW's and are dissidants. Heck could we get someone who is an ex elder to pose as an elder to request our cards?

  I would love to have my card in hand, but heck even if it is destoryed, I'd be fine with that to.
