  Deaf preacher just contacted me about JW's studying with..

  someone from his church.. a fellow interpreter i work with goes to a local deaf church and her and the preacher are wanting me to help someone from their church who have started studying with jw's.

  well the dangerous evil apostate is more than willing to help and a huge thank you to cedars for making his recent video have captioning, because that is one link i just sent them.. .

  i provided the relevant websites, jwfacts, jwstruggle, jwsurvey.....and i sent links to some of the person experience i've read on here that are heart breaking.

  Vidiot: It's pretty sad when the JW's have to prey on the disabled in order to get new members. FS was always uncomfortable, didn't matter who was receiving the "witnessing."

  Thanks for sharing your comment. I think this is the only way JW's can get new members. Really when you think about it, for someone with a disability what the JW's say would have a draw. The JW's have everything figured out what works for certain people to get their hooks in them.

  It just makes me so angry, frustrated and sad.

  Blondie what was interesting back when I was still a JW I went to a few ASL meetings and there were only like 2-4 deaf families there. Most of the people were hearing. The last time I went there was only 1 deaf family there, parents were deaf and their kids were all hearing.

  I'm hoping to start "helping" some of the deaf to have access to this stuff on the internet.

  bumped into an old acquaintance the other day, one of those who used to cross the road when they see me.

  this time he was all smiles and even shook my hand.

  to cut a long story short went for a pint and a chat and he apologised for his previous behaviour and he told me he is in the process of fading and this suprised me because he used to be a super pious dub.. he said the thing that made him start to think was when his 4yr old daughter asked him if her grandma was evil and he said of course not, her reply was why is jehovah going to kill her.

  That is wonderful your friend is waking up. Holds out hope for the rest of us that it could be us one day.

  the day i've been waiting for is here.

  i'm flying home to see family and some old friends, most of whom are jw.

  since learning ttatt a few months back, i came to the decision i would have to tell my parents that we are no longer active and don't have any plans to return.

  I got more details and clarified some things.

  The JW's are studying with the couples daughter who has cerebral-palsy CP.

  I guess after I sent all that stuff to the preacher he went and talked to the parents last night, I don't know how much of what I sent he showed them, but supposedly the parents are stopping the study. YAY!

  What I just realized this morning, the JW's are preying on the disabled and kids in order to get new members.

  I don't know if you remember awhile ago I posted a thread on one of the JW's on my Facebook who posted a picture of her and her 9 year old study out in FS. So now I think this is what the JW's are doing to get new members, they have to bring in children and people with disabilities and if you think about it, someone with a disabilities would like hearing how "Jehovah will heal all your problems in the new system. The blind will see, the deaf will hear.....etc" Of course that sounds appealing to someone with a disability.

These people need to see how ugly the JW's really are and what they do to people. The couple who is studying with the JW's has said "how 'nice' the JW's are"......I just about threw up in my mouth, and I told my friend and the preacher how the JW's will only be nice to you while you are studying and once you are in, no love and they all turn 'cold'

  Role Reversal: Placing 1969 Awake with JW's Manning the New Portable Literature Displays

  in recent weeks the jw’s here in the uk have been setting up their new portable watchtower literature displays in my local town square on a saturday morning.

  as they hadn’t knocked on my door for at least five years, and consequently feeling somewhat neglected, i thought that i would pay them a visit instead.. .

  the first thing i needed to do was arrange my literature.

  First off, AWESOME!!!! You did it perfectly and I know sometimes it hard not to take our frustration out on the individual JW, and we have to always remind ourselves who we actually have the problem with...WTBT$ I really hope that young girl will research. You planted that seed.

  Second, I always love how the typical JW says ....although many Witnesses did indeed think that Armageddon was imminent in the 1970’s, at no time did the Watchtower itself put anything in print to that effect. Are you sure about that, I pressed her. Definitely, she said.

  Then they are shocked to find out it's in their own literature. I've been realizing lately that the typical JW doesn't know what is in their own literature.

  I really do hope this young woman will pursue an education and escape! BRAVO!!!!!

  Brainmelt: Happy early birthday! It's going to be so much fun celebrating! I've enjoyed it so far. It makes you feel so good because you finally acknowledge an important day, the day you were born!

  I hope you tell us when you birthday is so we can all wish you a happy birthday.

  Thank you! Today is the day I finally get my cake! I've been wanting my birthday cake since Tuesday! We worked things out so we could record at least the cake part and I have a special hat I made to wear.

  So excited!
