WANTED
In 38 States and not wanted in 14 others
there have been occasion in my life, that movies have come out that i looked so forward to seeing.
then i see them, and i am so disappointed in the finish product.
then there are movies i go to see thinking, why am i wasting my time with this junk, and then i end up finding this movie to be something enjoyable and in some cases fantastic.
I'm not keen on Hollywood "happy endings" and being raised on british product I find the Star Wars/Star Trek stuff mind numbingly predictable, moralistic and boring as bats piss
On the upside are movies that raise the spirit like "the bear" or "throw moma from the train"
Another one I thought wouldn't be any good but found to be OUTSTANDING was Crash. Wow - I cannot say enough about this movie.
Thanks peachy cheeks, I'll check it out.
Weeeell ok I believe ya Mary but you look a tad smug
Din't yer moma warn ya about calling up the devil?

Hey KYW13....see there, you prayed to Jehovah and the gang came back. Now where's that damn Unclebruce?
You'd be better off leaving me out of your prayers bro Gumby. Jehovah shuns me nowerdays This thread has made interesting reading, many nails hit on the head. cheers, Lee.
my elderly dub aunt (who's the biggest whiner the world has ever seen) came over tonight to first of all, whine about how her neighbour shuts her kitchen cupboard doors in the most annoying way possible and her dog barks and what was she supposed to do about it?
anyway, as soon as these monumental problems were solved, she informed me that at the bookstudy the other night, the conductor told everyone to "stay after the prayer" as he had 'something important to announce.
" naturally everyone did this, all the while wondering if the red phone at patterson was in direct contact with jehovah himself as the study was being conducted.
Thanx Mary,
this is a very interesting thread.
It sounds like an information gathering exercise for the Societies data base. The biggest threat to the Watchtower is apostacy, they're paranoid about it. Internet apostacy such as JWD and Watchers of the Watchtower World is having a huge impact on membership growth and cashflow. There will be some legal or apostate hunting reason for this. Don't be surprised if, come October, JW's are asked to sign over all their property and other assetts including tin food stashed in their dodgy cupboads
I believe the Watchtower Society will become little more than a computerised publishing business rehashing the same material to tiime indefinite, a cash cow for non JW stockbrokers and lawyers.

meanwhile in a land far away ... ring ring...

Irish people love Muslims. They have taken a lot of the heat off us. Before, we were "the terrorists" but now were "the Riverdance people".(Andrew Maxwell)
