i found this picture of otzi the iceman , whose mummy was found in the alps in 1991. he died about 5300 years ago.
that would make him a close contemporary of noah.
using only flint and copper tools , do you think this ancient man and his family could have built the biblical ark?
ooo what Shazard said:
Hmmm you dig up ourdays peasant and then ask if he could build Space Ship?
Hey what's with the picking on Otzi? By all accounts he was well equiped for the job at hand and took 3 arrows. Besides, if he didn't build the Ark who did?
this evening i went for a walk near the mouth of the bega river, several kilometres from my place.
i enjoyed the peace and took a few photos.. for several years the pelicans here were my concern (keeping an eye on them and occationally capturing them to remove fish hooks and the like.
while there a duck billed mud stinky arrived.
Greetings unclebruce,
Excellent pics. Thanks for sharing. We love birds here too. Mostly Chikadees, Blue Jays, Rock Doves a.k.a Pidgeons, (shoulda been called Piguns, they eat all the feed they can get their grubby beaks on) Cardinals, and Gold Finches up here in the cold north.
Ever run into Mick Dundee or Donk?
Dismembered
No but I met Harry Butler and John Warmsley

Numbugga ( 36°39'S 149°42'E ), New South Wales, Australia, is a locality about 15km from the town of Bega, in Bega Valley Shire, consisting of mainly farmland, ruralresidentialdwellings and National Parks.
Numbugga used to have three schools up until the mid 1970s and used to also have a hall. The hall was demolished after a storm took the roof off. The Fireshed now stands close to where the hall was. The Snowy Mountains Highway runs through Numbugga.

Crumpet beat me to it. You tryin' to make me jealous or something? We've just entered our BIG FREEZE. It will be the indomnitable chickadees, the ubiquitous house sparrows and the predatory jays until spring for me.
Well take photos of those silly! Lee who wants to see a chickadee

Hi Clam,
We're well into spring time here and things are jumping. One of the big prizes will be photographing the lyrebirds (I had a great oportunity to take rare photos of a lyrebird chick two years ago but my camera was broke
I'm just using a little Nikon pocket camera .. the 10x zoom is great. A poor boy can only dream of a digital SLR

Glad you enjoyed the photos folks, I'm wrapped with a couple of photos of the Royal spoonbill. The endangered birds being protected alog the shoreline here are the Hooded Plover and the Little Turn (cruely called by some the "little turd" - they're not easy to hand raise).

A different Hooded Plover or another mystery bird? Heeelp Crumpet!
Hey Ian,
- some of the locations around here have funny names - to get to my place from the beach you go up Goats Knob Road
