I watch it sometimes, didn't know there were jobs like that. I sure would hate to be stuck in one like they show.

Are the Mosquitos out of control this year in your area???/
by AK - Jeff inthey are the size of teradactyles this year here - due to the frequent, almost tropical climate this summer here.
thousands would be an understatement of facts - millions is more like it - and i am only talking about my back yard.. we had to go and buy some heavy duty pet/livestock potion for the pooch, who is tethered while we work on dry days.
she has been hiding in her house most of the time.. anyone got a good mosquito recipe?

Here in NC it's about like usuall, I get bit several times if I go out for a while. I wear shorts all summer and they like my legs. I have to wear repellant if I sit in my swing in the evening. I hate the little critters.

Making real friends
by choosing life ini have been away from the meetings for about a year now.
i recently attended a funeral and the witnesses mostly avoided me even though i am not disfellowshipped.
my problem is i need to replace my old friends because they look at me with such suspicion now.. i never had trouble making friends before i was a witness,but that was 30 years ago.

I have very few real friends. My brother is my best friend and another guy I grew up with, who I don't see very often. I have a friend who I bowl with, a female, who went to school with me years ago. She recently lost her husband to a heart attack and is remarried now. We enjoy our bowling together and today when she left she gave me a hug and said she loves me, not romantic love but friendly love. I really liked her first husband and we were friends and her new husband seems to be a good guy also. I enjoy the people I know at the senior bowling league, I look forward to my Monday bowling.

i chose mine because i really feel 'in between', in that space where your not a jw anymore but really haven't figured out where you are in life and what path you want to take.

One of the most irritating things you can say to a Witness?

80% of Near Death Experiencers Can't Wear Watches...
by FMZ ini have had about 5 digital watches since my nde when i was young.
every single one of them reset itself regularly.
2 of them i gave away because of the problems i had, and their new owners (my father and brother) never had a problem with the watches since..

It's strange how things happen. I was going over to fly my R/C plane and looked down at my watch and it was blank. Battery gone I guess. Don't brag about anything, it will then go out.

My buddy next door had an NDE and he has no problems with his watch. He was talking to some creatures and they laughed when he asked what the true religion was, they said it didn't matter.
I apparently don't have any electricity in my body, my watch has been working since 1980 and I havent replaced the battery but a few times. I also handle computer parts without being grounded and have had no problems. I've been shocked with A/C current several times and it didn't kill me either. Maybe I'm from Mars.

It's been over 30 years since I've been to a door preaching the "Good News". About all I can remember about it is I didn't really like going out d to d. I was going because it was expected of me by my family and congregation. I was always glad when the time was up and we could go home. We always set a time to quit and when it arrived we went home.
