the hospital is one of the best in the east.
i sure do feel better now.

I just hope that he can have a long, happy life. They have a few more test to do before they start treatment.

Just got back from my grandson's home and they seem to be handling it better than I could, or at least it seems that way. He went out with some of his friends for a while. My sister in law was telling me about someone she new that had cancer when a kid and is now 36 and doing fine. I'll try and be positive and maybe it will be OK. Thanks for all your good thoughts. I'll keep you posted.

Tetra, I think I understand what you mean. Sometimes when I'm outside and see the beauty of nature I have a feeling of closeness with life, but when I see the way nature really works I lose that feeling. Some examples, the way animals and humans kill to survive, the way nature kills with disease, natural disasters. They say that half the people who ever lived have been killed by mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit. Life is beautiful and tragic. Right now my grandson has cancer(at least the doc thinks it's cancer) but the biopsy hasn't come back yet. Life doesn't look so beautiful to him right now.
I've had a really good life and appreciate the ride but soon it will end by some way I don't want to know right now. I hope it's soon by the WT definition though.

My life is too far gone to try success in this life, as far as money is concerned. My mind isn't up to the stress involved in business. I'll just try to enjoy what I can in the life that's left for me. I kind of feel like the world is in for a castrophy in the next 50 years or so, another ice age, astroid,volcanic eruption or epidemic of some sort, atomic war or something. I sure hope I am wrong on this feeling.

Most were indoctrinated from youth because of where they were born and the predominate religion of their society. Some were convinced by some missionary who brought a different idea to their head.
Many have had some mysterious feeling come over them which convinced them it was some God who decided to give them salvation or some special relationship. Some just look at the universe and imagine some omniscient creature made it all for some unknown reason.
Others just say,"I'm here, so just enjoy the ride while it last."
Many have a book written centries ago by some man or men who was inspired by some spirit entity who told them what to write and what we have to do to please this a God.
How do you make yourself believe any of this stuff without some real proof?

first it was her mum in hospital, then it was me, just for a night, though i've been ordered to rest and given 6 weeks off work, and now linda (fullofdoubtnow) is ill. she has a really bad bout of flu, which started yesterday, and i expect she'll be in bed for a few days.
i just fed her some soup, which is about all she can manage at the moment, and she's gone back to sleep now.
she sends her love to everyone on the board,i expect she will be posting again in a few days, but for now, she's confined to bed..
Haven't had the flu since the 60s when the Asian flu was around. It about killed me. Tell her we are thinking of her and hope it goes away real soon.
Your situation seems about like my son's recently. Don't know the results of the biopsy yet but the doc said it looks like cancer in my grandson. Hope he is wrong.

i'm trying to remember the process for giving a talk.
i remember getting a slip with a topic on it, but what else was on that slip?
did it tell you what scriptures you should cite, or what book the talk was based on?
It's kind of strange, I gave public talks very often and can remember only one subject and where I was when I presented it.
