any particular event sparked this change of heart ?.
I have no idea. Sometime in the last 30 years, especially after reading C of C. It finally hit me that I didn't believe it anymore. When I quit going to meetings and just wanted to enjoy my life I still believed it somewhat, but didn't think it was worth my current life to give in to all the demands of being an elder.

to me the most overplayed band on the radio, ever, is the eagles.. today i bought their new cd.. its nice, i like it.
it brings back an old comfortable feeling from long ago, but it is new and fresh.. waiting in the weeds written by don henley ( a few of the lyrics from this song).
it's comin' on the end of august, another summer's promise amost gone.
One of my favorite groups. I very seldom buy CDs but this one I must have.

has a governing body member ever died from refusing blood products?.
and do you think he would if the problem arose?
or do you think there would be some quick 'new light' on the subject?.
Your history is a little off here.
Until 1950 vaccinations were DF offense.
It was in the early 40's. I got mine in the mid 40's a little after I started going to schol.

My friend who died Monday was burried this morning. He loved his Scottish background. He was burried in his kilt and had the music played on a bagpipe. His daughter and him spent a month in Scotland last year as he reviewed his ancestry. He was a Tulloch. He was a good honest friend. I will miss him. He also served in Korea and had a millitary memorial service. I noticed most of the birth dates on the grave stones were about the same as mine, but maybe I will be as lucky as the lady that was in the funeral home yesterday with Joe, she was 106 years old when she died.

i guess i will have to just expect to handle death day by day.
i just hope i can last a few more good years.
we went to the coast together a few years ago and had a great time, my brother was also good friends with him also and went with us.
Thanks for all the condolences. My brother, my buddy next door and I would meet at McDonalds with him several times a week and have coffee and talk. We will miss him so much. We used to work for the same company for many years, as well as my brother. My friends are dying off too fast.

I hope I can stay clear of it in my old age.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/shropshire/7078455.stm .
a young mother has died after giving birth to twins, following claims that she had refused a blood transfusion because of her faith.
jehovah's witness, emma gough, 22, from telford, shropshire, gave birth on 25 october.
Although it does save lives, it also has killed a lot of people. I know two people who it killed, one was my aunt and another was my daughter's husbands grandma. There were many aids cases transmitted by blood transfusions. So not all cases of blood tranfussions are life saving. I agreed to have a blood transfussion when I had my TURP if it was needed. I guess the odds are that it could help in most circumstances.

since something like dna determines how long you live, how does it keep track of time?
some animals live longer than man, and some have shorter lives, what determines it's life span?
what is time anyway?
Since something like DNA determines how long you live, how does it keep track of time? Some animals live longer than man, and some have shorter lives, what determines it's life span? What is time anyway? It seems everything is affected by it, even the universe. Have the scientist figured out gravity and time yet?
Sorry, my mind has been going nutty lately.

now that i'm in my late 40's, old means about 80 years old.... i'm still young at 47, i think .
I'd say about 70, depending on your health. The last year has told me I'm getting old. I can't do many of the things I did when younger, like lifting heavy things, peeing a strong stream, remembering names of people and things, running very well, getting really interested in hobbys as I did when young, remembering the names of streets in town like I did when a young JW, sex doesn't controll my mind or body anymore and the list goes on. I'm just glad to be alive and know the next ten years will be about all I can hope for.
