I have an old memorial talk that I did back in the 60's recorded. Haven't listened to it in a long time, just discovered it a while back among a bunch of tapes I had recorded at assemblies, etc.

can anyone get hold of the memorial talk for this year ??
i have to assume it would be a new talk since they have reopened the heavenly calling once again.. it would be refreshing .
i don't think it will happen that way.

lets see now......... .
monday night: prepare for the tuesday night book study i will conduct.
also, have the family monday night watchtower study preparation.
Outaservice, that sounded just like my weeks back then and was the reason I just quit. You forgot to mention the bible study on Wed. evening with some worldly person you were trying to convert to a JW.

i went to a wedding on the other side of the state yesterday.
on my way home i stopped by my favorite road side rest.
i say this particular road side rest is my favorite because somebody always leaves a few watchtowers and awakes for weary travelers to take.
It's not a return visit, it's a back call, as we used to name it.

i want to head down south a bit where it is warmer and not to far away from the ocean.
definately on the east coast... i don't want to live in nowhereville but i don't want to live right smack in the middle of a city like boston or new york either... any ideas?
I love NC near the Virginia line. If you want to live near or on the coast Morehead City is a nice old city. Eden where I live is a good place to live, beautiful country scenery, you can drive out in the old country roads and see so much that is beautiful. The coast is only about 4 hours away.

I guess my screen name says how I feel.

i have read a lot of posts since coming to this site and a lot of you dont seem to have a realistic view of god.
so tell me who do you think he is?.
please keep your comments simple and to the point .
I think the question should be,"What is God?" or maybe, "Where is God?
I think he would at least give us a picture of himself, or at least speak to us humans sometime. Oh, I forgot he wrote the whole bible as a way to speak to humans, but no group of religious people can agree what he is saying exactly.
I'll have to say I have no idea who he is because I haven't met him yet.

where i live in nc near va there are so many old barns left from the days of tobacco growing.
when i was a child almost all the country people raised tobacco to make a living and would cure the tobacco in these barns.
out on the old country roads there are barns everywhere.
Delilah, there are several around here that have been converted to little homes.

One of the founders of the JWs here worked for the American Tobacco CO. in Reidsville NC. He invented several of the machines that made the cigs. He had a lot of money. There were two other JWs that worked for that company. Two of them died before the command to quit the company. The other one quit the tobacco company after the borg told him to. He was married to a daughter of rich one who worked for that company. The one who invented several of the machines died at a circuit assembly we were attending in Asheboro NC. He had heart problems.

Some still raise tobacco but they use more modern curing buildings with gas heat.
