I want to head down south a bit where it is warmer and not to far away from the ocean. Definately on the East coast... i don't want to live in nowhereville but I don't want to live right smack in the middle of a city like Boston or New York either... Any ideas?

    depends on your skills....

You wont find many big company jobs in a lot of small towns. Can you build a business or offer services? Most small towns just dont have many places that will pay a person $40 k or more to work for them.

There is some growth in the Carolinas... Parts of Georgia are in pretty good shape.

There is lots of stuff in Florida.. but it's spendy and incomes are not very good.

I guess it's a matter of what you can do and much as were you do it.

Why is it every new person I meet moves away?

Cheers and the best to you both if you do move.

Houston Texas. A lot of refineries are having retirement issues and are begging for people to replace their retirees. That is what I am doing but I am moving inland north to Amarillo to a refinery near my family. If Houston isn't for you guys. I would bet that there might be a refinery farther east that might have the same problem. So look around the Houston area to find a lead to one of them.

About Georgia, aren't they experiencing a severe water drought? I'm just curious.

In that case look around Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina areas.

Also central Texas between Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.
