  Question about letters to society.

  hi.. i was reading another post about asking for your personal files.

  i was wondering if anyone knew if the society send copies of letters you have sent to them to your congregation.. i recently sent them a letter asking about the old information about the 1914 generation on their website.. i received a letter back from them that didn't answer the question (what's new) but was more a slap on the wrist for even deigning to ask.

  i was directed to a couple of articles about the apreciation and good use of older publications and told that older light had to be taken into regard with newer light and that older books still have their worth as long as we use newer ones as well.... talk about confusing.. anyway, i was wondering if they would send the elders in my congregation a copy of my letter to them?.

  i was always a shy kid that desperately wanted to make my parents proud.

  at about this same time i started to hang out with some guys that my dad didn?t particularly approve of.

  i wonder how my life would have turned out had i stopped at any point between ages 14 and 19 and asked myself who exactly i was doing all this for.

  in the july wt, the writers have come up with the new theory that islam is the new king of the north.

  as we as a country and a collection of people begin a process that will surely be painful, dirty and bloody, let us not forget that this nation has been through painful, dirty and bloody processes before.

  our fathers and grandfathers fought a war to preserve freedom and democracy.

  during that war, dark days were experienced and many, many people lost their lives in the cause of freedom.

  there is one thing that has come out of last weeks tragedy that, to me, is absolutely bloody marvelous.. so many of those plane passengers phoned home.

  so many of the trapped office workers did the same.

  no whining, no screaming "why me?

  National Day of Mourning in Australia

  prime minister john howard has announced a national day of mourning for sunday, september 16 to remember those who have been killed in the terrorist attacks on the united states.

  all flags nationwide will be flown at half-mast as well as church memorial services.. in addition for the first time ever, he has invoked the provisions of the anzus treaty whereby an attack on one member state is treated as an attack on all members.

  thus australian support is promised to be strong.. ozzie (of the freedom lovers class)

  hey everyone, .

  everybody has called for everything from full scale nuclear assault to a more measured response, against targets ranging from the entire middle east to just the perpetrators.

  the only country in which arabs can vote for their leaders is israel, where native born arabs are given citizenship.
