  so i started a reply on the topic of "what's your status?

  " and it made me think about my df hearing (sorry i can't remember the exact term for what happened).. so i was fading, living in a different country, working & making rare appearances at my kingdom hall.

  THIS is what it means to be in a CULT, this is misuse of power and wrecking peoples lives.

  Im still figuring out how to use this wesite, but rudered, its not a foolish question at all.

  I still dont really understand why I did it this way, but I think it was a combination of the black/white in/out thinking of the JWs combined with the immaturity of someone in their teens/20s.

  I was really unhappy as a witness, but I still thought it was the truth, therefore not being a witness was my failure. I figured out this course of action as the only one available to me, but if I had had anyone to talk to i may have done things differently.

  I had never heard of someone who just didnt believe, growing up you never do. Anyone who left, or was kicked out, you always heard dodgy stories whispered about them later...... I remember hearing that those who left were "worse"than wordly people.

  I was quite self destructive for years after this, probably fulfilling everything witnesses think about DF'd ones.

  Now with maturity I see how young I was, uneducated and isolated from any thought processes except witness defined ones...I literally did not know how to think.

  They would sure get a different response from me now, and i just love hearing how some of you used the hearing as a chance to express yourselves.

  So I started a reply on the topic of "what's your status? " And it made me think about my DF hearing (sorry I can't remember the exact term for what happened).

  So I was fading, living in a different country, working & making rare appearances at my Kingdom Hall. I was flat sharing with a sister though. It was obvious that I was weak & people were encouraging me, but I knew I wanted out.

  I went out with a worldly guy & we all know where that leads.... Then as a good witness does I immediately rang the elders & told them.

  this is where it gets weird, 3 men come to your house & sit in front of you ( I am female & was 20 at time). They go through everything in great detail, step by step!!! I was asked all kinds of personal stuff which was completely unnecessary because I rang them & told them I had committed fornication. Why the need to pour over the details?

  Why 3 middle aged men interviewing 1 young woman?

  Why no sister present?

  They asked me if I was sorry, I said no.

  After dissecting my sex life for what felt like hours but probably wasnt, one elder looked at me and said, "I can't help but notice your skirt" we looked at each other....???

  Now when they came in they placed 3 dining chairs in a semi circle in front of the couch and told me to sit on the couch (which was lower) so they were all looming over me & I was on the couch where my skirt had no choice but to rise up to the knees.

  Anyway, this guy continued to talk about my skirt for 10 minutes, other skirts/sisters & what they mean to him...,.before one of the other elders changed the subject (probably cringing on the inside, I don't know?).

  Now I'm older/wiser I know this is creepy.

  Did anyone else have strange things happen?

  Hey I'm disfellowshipped & proud of it.........unhappy for a long time, faded & then in hindsight I can see that I deliberately committed immorality as a way of getting out. I could of just DA'd but for some reason that never occurred to me.

  3 elders came to my house & interrogated me on the details & then sent me out of the living room so they could pray about me.

  Now I think about it, it was my house so I should have made them go to the kitchen.

  i think I have blocked a lot of it out, but one thing I do remember is a lot of questions about the length of my skirt - which was below the knee by the way BUT, critically not below enough according to one elder & this was really important.......?

  I think many witnesses would be shocked to know what goes on in DF...but sorry I've gone way off thread

  2 sisters came to the door and since i dont live in the territory they dont know me and i got to say "i'm not interested" for the first time :).

  it felt awesome.

  didnt have a chance to engage in conversation as i was quite busy but it was a nice first for me..

  Going D2D is a complete waste of people's time & energy, but... I read somewhere on this site about cults & keeping people busy, so they have no time to think?

  What would you do if you didn't have field service, on a Saturday morning? go to the gym? Relax? maybe browse the Internet ? More time to think for a JW....and I really believe time is what they don't want you to have.

  also, I predict that at sometime in the future there will be a hilarious talk from the platform about history deleting & what it means.....If there hasn't been already!

  i have just had a very long phone call from a wonderful sounding person ( jw).

  she has tried to post on here(simon or angie please read this ).

  she called herself bootlicker...why cant she get on.. come on kids tell grannie .

  Hey mouthy I just did this yesterday, registering was easy....

  Register as a new member, wait until they send you an email, confirming you are who you say you are, took a couple of minutes.

  where it gives the option to remember you, say yes, then every time you come on to this site you are already you if you know what I mean.

  Starting a thread was hard to figure out......

  Go to home page, Click on subject, then look up & right & click on new topic to start a thread.
