  apparently the first ever talkie feature film was al jolsons "the jazz singer"but growing up,i was told(via the gift of propaganda) the first ever talkie was the "photo drama of creation"...................please help me with the truth of the matter????

  I am betting the photo drama done by the dubbies was in Kinetiscope format, which predated the Jazz singer and used devices for the correct timing of the action on the film and the recorded voices. If you can find the date the photodrama was released it is easy enough to cross reference what technology was used at the time. And ya it is the Jazz Singer credited for No. 1.

  recently i worked on a db file storage system that saved files under guid id's.

  i became curious what the odds were of the db accidentally generating a duplicate guid for two different files, so i did the math.. here is what i found:.

  Death In the Family, How do I handle this ??? HELP !!!

  my mom (die hard witness), is not doing well, she called me for the first time in over 3 years on sunday, she probaly has a year or less left in her, we had a good chat, she cried alot and said how sorry she was, and that there might be something to the things i have said.

  (wow i almost fell over).

  and then today my grandma died at age 100 (witness for 75 years +).

  are you sure about that statement? Perhaps even for a while you could just suppress the "demonized" lol feeling of entering a hall and go pay your respects. Maybe even if it isn't for very long. I will have the same dillema with my parents some day and I will most probably go if it is at a hall. That doesn't mean you have to take any shit or even sit there and be preached at by any of those fools. Just go, pay your respects to the fam, maybe after the infomercial is over and give condolances to your family. Then run...don't walk..

  i have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.

  dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?

  One of my employees has cancer...from smoking

  one of the things i can't deal very well with is smoking.

  i remember telling someone i loved i really wanted them to stop because i didn't want to be the man holding her as she gasped for air dying from the habit.

  not 2 minutes after we broke up she was back at it, strangely that hurt me as much as the breakup, thinking of her suffering one day as i had seen others do...all because of cigs.... one of my technicians came in today that i have been having trouble with, his perfomance had become horrible, and i had intended to let him go.
