hi people!..i have a serious question.and i often wonder have anyone one earth thought this way too!
why when there's a funeral the preacher always say..."got called his son or daughter home.i went to a family funeral,not this relative lived a bad (with a capital bad) life.the family knew it.he was evil,hateful,treated people wrong,yet the preacher said he's gone to heaven...so i'm now thinking then what the hell!..is hell for.no matter what i always hear the preacher say that person is gone to heaven...i asked my brother-in-law,why don't anyone say ...this person is in hell(since hell is suppose to be a place for the sinners)are the preachers afraid to say that around the families?i'm confused!
s&l in JWland one mostly finds the funeral isn't really for the deceased. It is to make the JWs feel better about waiting for Armageddon and a paradise on earth, while jumping on the chance to Witness... And yeah most preachers will try and put a positive spin on the death of a loved one, but that too isn't really for the benefit of the deceased.

i am sure the subject is not very descriptive and for this i appologize.. i would like some assistnace in biblical references that say how homosexuality should be viewed and how one should deal with another that is homosexual or that has homosexual friends even if they non study's daughter says she and this other girl aren't 'doing anything'.
i know this is long winded, so i will just now finally get to the point.. i am a grandmother that has recently taken back up studying after a 1-2 year pause.
when i had first started studying, my daughter was also studying and we had our study togeather as i was staying with she and her husband because she had medical trouble and could not care for their 3 children when he was gone to work.
I call BS!

i know it's not the lightest of topics but the current news coverage of the pope's final hours made me wonder if i'd face things as calmly as he is reported to be doing.
i don't have his faith, or any faith anymore, but i can see how for a true believer that would be a source of strength.. the thing is, a lot of us thought we'd never die.

i mentioned on another thread that friday night i'd gone out with some friends (one being my roommate).
and in the middle of a bar we were at she (roommate) starts screaming at the top of her lungs about how i find everything she says to be wrong and demanding an explanation.
now, to give you a little more detail--right before another friend had been talking about something (my roommate disagreed with for some reason) and then momentarily left to go smoke and as soon as she left my roommate starts going into this heated bitch about the friend that went to smoke.
right and doing that can be hard to do. Just go do some stuff for yourself when you can and stay out of the house often. I know that doesn't sound quite right, but might be the best thing to do for your own sanity. Sometimes you make the mistake of considering a person an equal on all levels and they don't understand when they get an off reaction to a "stupid" question. Not everyone can know eveything, but one would prefer to assume they aren't hanging out w/total stupid heads...
