  guess what you guys....... i come home from a staff meeting and sitting in my mailbox is a little care package from my friend jgnat!!.

  in it was a delicious chocolate and marshmallow confection, along with a lovely heartfelt note.. i was touched, and jgnat can really cook.... and i must imagine how good it tastes fresh out of the oven, before being shipped a few thousand miles.. so thank you jgnat.

  according to hillary step, next time you should send me salad...

  i know there are conferences that xjws attend, but since i ran accross joy castro's writings and new book today it got me thinking about the subject.

  something non-religious in nature.....well as non religious as xjws can get anyway lol.

  i think it would be cool if we could have people like her, kimberly norris, bryan, donald, and so many of the others that have done stuff for us.

  Cyg no worries from me man, wishing you the best of health...and yeah we have a good time at our parties, but this would be something different entirely. That is not to say that at some point beer would not be involved...better yet we could have a real symposium...

  That is the same mess the dubbies try and pull on people....without us you are nothing....Is that really the ultimate teaching of Jesus? If so it certainly leaves a bad taste in one's mouth and I'll stick to not believing at all..

  Morty Broke her wrist .

  i was chatting with morty, aka michele and she told me the reason we haven't seen her in jwd is because the sweet girl fell down the stairs and broke her wrist and sustained brusises and cuts to her body.

  so she has ask me, orangefatcat to let everyone know that she is recuperating and hopes to join the ranks here soon.

  and also it is morty's birthday on the 21st of august.

  I was laying around in bed this afternoon..lol and I just thought to myself IF I was going to put together such a thing I have the perfect place. Right in the middle of downtown Dallas... It would probably cost nothing to have such an event at my college. We have plenty of classrooms and a sizeable auditorium, not to mention plenty of hotels around in walking distance, restuarants etc.. There are some advantages to working in the same place for more than 10 years you know... That would take a rather large chunk of cost out of the way too..

  I would still like ideas for content and am thinking of some categories much like we have specific forum areas here. For instance if we had some readings from work like Father's Touch, or maybe even some scenes from the play about JWs that opened in NYC, I really think it would bring the humanistic side of our issues to the fore and make an excellent addition to the other subjects we could present.

  Would it turn into a - smoke weed, get high, drink as much beer as you can - fest? If so, no thanks. :(

  Don't even try and be a smartass with me.. If wasn't serious and just wanted a party I wouldn't have bothered..
