My fiance was never raised in a religious setting, he is agnostic as well. So I'm sure he'll just be confused/disgusted by it all.
I'm going to troll a bit and maybe try and plant a few subtle seeds as well.

by The UFO Cult inyou all might find this craig's list ad interesting, i have publications "studies in the scriptures" plus others, how can i valuate my inheritance grandma left me?
grandma was poor, she was third-generation witness who spoke boldly without fear of men.
what do you think they want these books for, i have lots of books dated pre-1950s,, if i was to part with my treasure how much do i charge?.

I'd like to see what an outsiders view on the whole thing would be as well. I'm really curious. I can't wait, my first time wearing NORMAL street clothes to a meeting and not feeling bad about doing anything "taboo".. actually I'll quite enjoy this.
Have any of you gone "undercover" or know of anyone who as gone undercover as a "worldly" person? How did it go? If not, would you? I know some of you would never step foot into a KH again, not that I blame you.

we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.
just dont look at them was the standard response to their unwelcome presence..

Yes and no. I was raised in this religion, both of my grandmothers converted when my parents were toddlers. I never go to be like other kids, I never had friends because no one in my hall liked me and my sisters and I obviously wasn't allowed to have my "wordly" friends over. My interest in movies and books with magic were "bad". And I will never experience the "wonder" children experience on the holidays. There are a lot of things I'm angry for.
But I have a baby on the way. And I know to appreciate the things that most people raised in the "world" take for granted. I'm going to give my child the childhood I never had. They can be anything they want and I'm going to let them know that what they think and believe matters.

I'm back! And something I remembered...
by OneStepOut93 inso, it's been a really long time since i've posted on here.
and even at the time i never really posted much.. to make my story short, my parents found out i was planning to move in with a worldly friend out of the blue and instead sent me to live with my jw grandmother.
this was almost 3 years ago.
