  when the rain clears...

  ive been reading thesr posts for a while, thinking on them, pondering as the wt has recommended over the years.. having grown up as a witness, and having been involved in both the boring and the more exciting parts of the ministry, i know what it is like to be part of a team, and more importantly , i know what its like to be a team player on gods side.

  and then one day, things start to unravel, the marriage, the relationship with bethel, the relationship with members in the congregations, and then, on another later day, suddenly you find yourself on the outside.. so, as time passes, a person begins to miss the association, the meetings, the laughter of the ministry groups, even the smell of the kingdom halls.....and effort is made to restore self to favour....and in time that too....comes to pass.. but here i am, a few years later, once more isolated, but this time by my own choice, beset by doubts and concerns over something that i held and hold sacred.. my circumstances have changed.

  i chose the path of marriage again, to a wonderful person that has filled my life with contentment without the pressures of having to be an elder or an example to others in the christian manner, for those that are or have been in positions of oversight, you will know what this means...and yes my wife is one raised as a witness, and having her own journey that she may or may not choose to share with you...in any case, i feel priveleged to know her just for the decent human she is.. so, here i am, watching, reading, thinking....and i admit to being a little lost.. firstly, 607, it may or may not be correct, frankly my dears.... the ever changing date of armaggeddon...well that would appear to be a previousness on the part of the leading lights...after a while it gets tedious and a little self defeating.... the meetings and requirements for field service...well as i see it, the bible indicates it is a requirement to meet together, and furthermore a requirement to tell others about jehovah....the application of the principles have become (almost law,) in order to belong to the organisation known as jehovahs witnesses...that is a minor problem, despite the best efforts from co's and do's from the platform, the unoffical stance is that if you aint cutting it.. you aint spiritual.. now,where im at in this stream of time, along with all the confusion about what is right and what is wrong, i have to just look for other confirmations that jehovahs time is at hand...if indeed it is near at all.. man is now developing life in vacuums, primitive cellular structures it may be, but the leaps of testing criteria has been enhanced by the use of computers to cut time.... man has the ability (proven) to destroy earth.. man is killing the earth.. now if i was the creator, and he once before destroyed civilisation when they built the tower of babel, i would be thinking that soon they would know stuff they shouldnt know, and in any case, the earthdewellers are so dumb they will destroy themselves..id better start big a... my concern is,, that in the bigger picture..does it really matter if we get it so wrong, so many times and so quickly?

  Your not alone, I'm fairly new myself. Like you I still have strong faith in Jehovah and the Bible, but you feel a bit lost. Kinda like starting all over again, only this time you can actually read the Bible for what it really says, not so it fits into some preconscived man made little box.

  You see you were part of a cult. Some people may think that words a little harsh, to them I say, 'look it up'. There's a great book out by Steve Hassan entitled 'Combating Mind Controling Cults' (or something like that.) Everyone who's been a JW or knows someone who is really needs to read that and he has a brandnew one out too, so you can see that what your experincing is normal, and to know how to deal with it.

  we need to figure out a doctrine, a manifesto, and a set of disciplinary rules.

  we need to figure out a way to fund our new movement.

  To Dfshipped & Wanderingstar;

  You are both in an ackward and crious postions. To rejoin or not to rejoin. I think you both need to seriously way out the reasons, the pro's and cons of the action. What are your reasons for rejioning, is it because you feel that's the only way to please God and earn, yes earn, salvation. Or is it for the association, the friends, family and such.

  Before making your descion you really should do some research on what it really means to be a JW. After everything that's coming out on the Pedephiles, and the blood issue you owe it to yourselves and Jehovah. You MUST read Crisis of Conscience, before you make a decsion. IF you read it and still want to rejoin, then go for it, you deserve to be there.

  And don't forget to pray about it. Steve Hassan has some great books for all who are interested in JW's for some reason or other. One of them is entitled, 'Combating Cult mindcontrol'.

  I hope and pray you make the best descion, because it will affect your entire life.

  I don't remember who wrote this so I appolagize for that, but a while back on H2O they were discussing this. One brother said that he was a young kid at the time, but was always confused about the 6000 year thing. WHY? Because Jesus said only Jehovah knew when it would happen, yet Jesus, the angles, Satan and the Demons would all have known when Eve was created!!!!!

  Amazing, I had never thought of that till I read it. It's so ture, how on earth could that be the year, and Jehovah be the only one to know. It just goes to show that sometimes kids are smarter then the GB and those who think they have all the answers.

  So always listen to your heart, and conscience. It's there for a reason, don't let others get you down.

  Nice one larc, short and sweet.

  Jesus said to have faith and belive in him. He never said anything about a FDS or GB. He holds the elders in his hand. He knows everything we think, feel, need. Wouldn't you rather have him as your leader then a group of senile men that you've never met??? That keep changing thier mind on life threatening descions. Jehovah and Jesus haven't changed.

  I am unable to sleep due to a troubled mind. This is my first post on H2O and I must state my reason as to why. I must admit that I to have come to know many cases where the WTBS forces we who Shepard to make decisions that protect WTBS interests over and above the needs of the flock. I can no longer stomach a wait on Jehovah approach and let children be harmed. So I am going to do something about it. I have secretly provided silentlambs with all the documentation he will need to prove in writing how WTBS has purposely developed a stance that causes child molesters to have protection of the congregation. But then I asked myself why just give these materials to one person? Everyone should know what to expect if faced with the tragedy of there children being molested. As my time is limited this is what I plan to do as quickly as I can. Each Sunday and Monday I will post Body Of Elders letters pertaining to child molestation until all are available for the world to know. This is something I can do that I feel will help wake the WTBS up and help them to realize it is over. Children must be protected. Please do not e-mail the address above as I will not answer. I must stay silent so as not to jeopardize my identity. I would encourage others who have positions such as myself to stand up and do what you can to make a meaningful change that will help so many.
