  hi everyone, i just kinda felt the need to say thanks for replying to my posts.

  good advice and it's just nice to hear from people that have experienced similarly to me, and who understand.

  In the model prayer, why wasn't God name used ?

  when jesus taught his followers how to pray why wasnt the name of god used in the model prayer.

  our father in the heavens, let your name be sancitied.

  with so many people and religions in the world how many would have known the name of god if it were used in that popular prayer.

  Because Jesus intorduced us to a whole new relationship with Jehovah. He wasn't just a God any more, but they're heavenly father, which was a relationship the Isrealites had never had with him. Jehovah's name wasn't EVER mentioned in the NT at all.

  when spencer traceys genial dr. jekyll started to whistle you can see me dance the polka we all knew what was about to happen.

  sure enough, within a minute or so, the hairs were growing on the back of his hands as the metamorphosis into the odious mr. hyde took effect.. so, im wondering, what exactly are the warning signs that signify that a normally pleasant human being is about to turn into that most wearisome of creatures, youve guessed it, the self-righteous condemning and critical jw?.

  i ask because of the impending visit of my auntie lou.

  well it's caused by a 'thought stopping technique'! This is instilled in all JW's, when suddenly something is going to make them think, they must stop that. It is a tenique that is used by many mind control cults/groups. It usually is followed by chanting of some kind, such as 'I belive this is Jehovah's Org.' or some similar thing. Your right you can see their eye's glaze over all the sudden, kinda scary like.
