  i had a face to face conversation with an active jw today.

  i was informed that they congregations don't like the new bible being referred to as the "gray bible", so some are starting to refer to it as the silver sword.. .

  since jws are to be no part of the world, it would seem implausible that any witness would even talk about political preferences.. after being on this site for over a decade, it seems to me that there are a number of closeted political junkies.. were you vocal at all about politics and about the town/city/state or country that you were in?.

  Not really. I did try to stay neutral, but I had opinions. I just kept them to myself and didn't make comments very often. I would make a comment here and there around people I knew who felt the same way or who were a little more open minded than the average run-of-the-mill, brain dead dub. Keep low and outa sight was my motto as a dub. If you didn't make waves, you could pretty much go about your business without much bother...up to a point anyway

  for the ones based in britain only the "few" were invited to attend the agm .they received their new grey bible and the rumor was that the new bible will not be available for the rest of the congragations until january .it was confirmed tonight .a letter was read as local announcement that the new bibles will not be available until the end of january for the rest of the congragation .all the in crowd were sat there with their new flashy bible looking smug.also the bible reading was read from the new bible to make it all the more obvious ..... the real aftermath of agm....

Just download the new JW app to your iPad and take that to the hall. That way you can keep up with Jah's chariot just fine. Don't have an iPad, iPhone, Android, or host of other modern devices that everyone in developed countries, and under the age of 60 has? Oh well, you'll just have to manage with your 1984 NWT bible until January. Now stop your whining and go place some magazines...

  I'm willing to bet some ex-JWs are helping to push the ratings up. Downloading it to check it out, dissect it, criticize it, mock it, whatever.

  I won't download it. First, don't really give a crap. Two, don't want to give em any more publicity than necessary...and jumping on the download bandwagon unintentionally does that.

  Why the need for a new font?

  so with everything else being dissected, i want to know why it's important to have a font that can be copyrighted?.

  the font used is very similar to a number of others, like tahoma, ms sans serif, and arial etc, so what benefit is there to employing (in the loose sense of the word) a team in japan to create a brand new western set of glyphs?.

  will this help with their prosecution of those who copy/paste nnwt verses?.

  LOL... I can see it now: "The One, True Font of Jehovah". Seeing this font in the new NWT (NNWT?) assures us that this is indeed the one, true translation of Jehovah's word. If you don't see other bibles in this copyrighted font, then you have an inferior, and inaccurate translation.

  Just saw the app on the Apple Store for iPhone. Had no idea it was coming. But then, I didn't know about a new Bible which seems to be all the talk on the forum as well. And some special piped in talk?

  disclaimer: been MIA for awhile and haven't kept up with the goings on of the cult. Seems like it was a busy weekend for the dubs. They must just be giddy as hell today.

  Checking out the Apple store for any new cool apps, and lo and behold! I see that the WTS has finally embraced that demonic form of information dispensing. And all Jah's chil'ren are snapping it up. All the reviews sound similar and fall into one of two categories: praising Jehovah, or - praising the organization.

  While it's a bit surprising to see a JW app on the top charts, it is good informal apostate witnessing, so to speak. It is hoped that 'regular' non-cult influenced folk who read the reviews on this app are going to see just how nutso most dubs really are and are going to run quickly away, not only from the app, but from JWs in general.

  Thanks, WTS! for allowing your sheeple's true cult colors to shine forth on the iPhone platform.
