from the wts website:do they believe that they are the only ones who will be saved?.
millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not jehovah's witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.
many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before the "great tribulation," and they will gain salvation.
The original quote in the first post was regarding who would be resurrected, not who would be saved at Arm'gn.
Interesting point. But Notice the quote again:
Do they believe that they are the only ones who will be saved?
No. Millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life. Many now living may yet take a stand for truth and righteousness before the "great tribulation," and they will gain salvation. Moreover, Jesus said that we should not be judging one another. We look at the outward appearance; God looks at the heart. He sees accurately and judges mercifully. He has committed judgment into Jesus' hands, not ours.?
The question is: Do they believe that they are the only ones who will be saved? The immediate answer: "No."
The second sentance speaks of resurrection. The third goes back to salvation.
Then it gets even more ambiguous and leaves it all up to Jesus.
All of which is in exact opposition of what is printed in the publications and preached at the meetings and assemblies.
i have heard many creationists say: "just look at the universe!
there are so many things about it that have to be just right for it to be able to support life.
an interesting point, so i did a bit of basic math:.
but, but, but.....our universe is so complicated.
How can things that came together to create life happen by accident? Take a pocket watch for example. An intricate piece of equipment. Designed and built to keep time. If you put all the gears and doodads in a box and shook it up for a million years, it would never all into place as a working timepiece. Our universe and the planet Earth and the life systems on it are much more complicated than a watch.
(see. I did listen to the Sunday talks )

This is just a flat-out bold-faced WTS lie. They want the public to believe that they think that there are some non-JWs that can/will be saved. This is to make them seem less judgemental.
(playing Devil's advocate; I agree, but how would you answer a JW)
Prove it's a lie. JWs don't judge people, they just preach the good news of the kingdom to people. It's up to Jehovah who will survive Armageddon.
(A family member said that to me almost word for word)
edited to add: Damn, blondie. You were too quick, LOL.
anybody got other good ones to add to the list?
i found this awhile ago on another message board.
just thought i would share:.
what religion best suits you?.
Atheist You are Godless! You could care less about religion. As far as you're concerned, if you can't see, touch and kick something, it's not real to you. You're day-to-day activities consist of eating, working, sleeping and the occasional Internet or coffee shop debate. Lastly, if anyone chooses to preach at you otherwise, you will either leave or debate them until they finally shut up.
LOL. So true.
every year, on dec 25th, witnesses in our area gather at a book study group, and they have a dinner together.
although they say that they don't celebrate christmas, why do they gather on dec 25th like catholics do and share dinner together?
i'm sure that neighbors think that it's a christmas gathering.. i know that there isn't any christmas decorations there, or gifts being given, but i find it odd, that every year, some book study will organize a dinner on december 25th.
Celebrating a false religious holiday would be similar to performing any other act of false worship. (Jer. 7:16-19)So, in theory and if you are careful, you can get away with a lot. You can have a holiday on Xmas and Thanksgiving day, so that's not a problem. Then there is the question what is celebrating a religious holiday? To me to celebrate Xmas as a religious holiday, you would really have to go to church and celebrate midnight mass or go to church on Xmas day.
Since I've faded, I've met and made friends with several people who have no religious affliation or care about religion. A couple of them are confirmed athiests. Yet, they look forward to Christmas. As I observed them the last couple of years, I see that they celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday. It has no religious meaning to them whatsoever. They look forward to the holiday cheer, the parties, the gifts, the time with family. They have adapted a religious holiday to fit their own lifestyles.
Much like the Christians who adapted a pagan ritual to their fit own ideals, people today adapt holidays to fit their ideals. It's fundamentalists like the JWs who like to find fault with everything and pretend that somehow that "celebrating" a holiday with pagan history is somehow sinful and demonic.

I was in the "troof" for 30 some years and I got the distinct impression that anyone not associated with God's earthly organization(read the WTS or JWs) would be destroyed at Armageddon. Isn't it heartwarming to know that the WTS is finally committing our judgement into Jesus' hands?
i put together a chart trying to figure out the lineage of the wts from the millerites.
i'll try to post it(notice the word "try") to see what some of you experts on the history of the wts think about it.. .
(if this doesn't work, somebody send me a message and tell me how to go about it or i can email it to someone who can make it work.
Working on it...
I'm getting help from an expert now. Hopefully he can help me out.
