I remember getting caught looking at a bigbooty porn site by my wife once... someone on fcebook had this random link and I clicked it. I saw it and clicked like 34 more - she didn't get mad - she laughed and said, "oooooooo i'm telling." She walked away laughing and I really thought that she would tell. So that night I asked her to let me tell the brothers about it and she laughed at me again.

Here I was married for 10 years and I really thought my wife would "tell on me" so I had to hurry and get ready to tell first so I seemed repentant. What a load of crap

4 sincere questions for those that believe there is a God

greetings.. allow me to set the questions up.. after 30 years in the truth (i'm now late 40's) and having established the truth about the truth i consider myself agnostic going on atheist.. i struggle to believe there is a god when i observe life yet i try to convince myself there must be something out there.. here's the basis of my question: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23583116 .

in summary, 2 young boys have been killed by a snake that escaped from a pet store in canada.

it made it's way up through the ventilation into the apartment they were staying in.

For instance the very idea that GOD who even lowly humans know is all powerful and the best ruler - why does he haev to allow anyone(the DEVIL) time to rule mankind to prove to angels (who are obviously smarter than us) that he is the best choice. My 6 year old knows this without having to read a bible.

More importantly how fair is it that GOD is only giving SATAN about 3 minutes to rule over humans(remember that 1 day is as a thousand years).... that isn't enough time to prove anything

Your sincerity is doubted because what you are saying sounds like the rambling of someone still locked into the JW mentality or someone who has no idea how destructive the WBTS can be to a person and thier family.

Who would not be an opponent of a corporation that swindles money and misleads many on a wild goose chase?

Unclear pedo-policy? Just blame abusers? What about the ones told by elders that it should be handled by congo... no need for court amongst brothers? (I have witnessed this) Or the pedo's that get reappointed? Or elders sending children in service with Pedos?

1009, you sound like you are actually someone posing as no longer one of JW's when you are infact probably a high hour publisher who recently got involved in some form of wrongdoing that you are afraid to go to the brothers with. You think that coming here and challenging apostates and lashing disfellowshipped ones you are making an atonement for your sin that you are afraid to take before the brothers because of the damage it will cause your family...

Does faith excuse serious problems with the bible?

i constantly read that having faith is the answer to knowing that god (or in most cases, jesus) exists.

but to me it's quite clear there are serious difficulties in believing the bible.. adam and eve.

Everything after this statement means nothing because there is no way to verify it 100%. Let's not forget that you are assuming that his existence matters and the HOLY BOOK he is mentioned in matters as well. Who is to say that the bible is truly inspired by GOD. WHoever says it is what proof do they have 0%. What proof will the ever have 0%.

There are alot of Asians / Sub-Saharan Africans / Eskimoes / Native Americans / etc... that had no idea for thousands of years what the bible was, let alone what it contained. This would mean the bible was only for a small group of people - and that no one else mattered for thousands of years.

What is worse the thought that we expect to process something repulsive into our belief system... doesn't that throw a red flag? I guess because those attrocities are so far removed from what people experience it is easy to say. However the idea that one has to think that slaughtering innocent women and babies is part of their belilef system that they must accept.

If a thousand years are as one day in the eyes of Jehovah ,

and we look at history from Jehovah's point of view, we should realize that:

Adam was created six days ago and Jehovah immediately purposed to

restore what Adam had lost for his offspring. 39 hours and 45 minutes later He acted to prevent the demons and Satan from ruining the earth with their violence and to give a clean start to a few righteous people.

10 hours later, the same day, a covenant with Abraham was in place to

give a guarantee that Jehovah would provide a ransom and restore

human creation to its rightful state. The very next day, Israel left Egypt , the law covenant was put in

place and the temple was built.

One day, 1 hour and 48 minutes later the ransom was paid and mankind saved.

2 hours and 5 minutes ago Jehovah placed his son on the throne in His

kingdom to finalize the arrangements for the new system.

Within minutes time will expire

for all those wanting to disrupt His purposes!

As the saying goes: "All in a day's work."

And some still think

Jehovah is slow respecting His promises!

DON'T GIVE UP...WE ARE SO CLOSE!

Fading fast children are starting to ask questions, need help.

ok i have been fading fast, missed a lot of meetings over the past couple of months and the kids think its mostly do to my being busy with work.

this morning was probably the first sunday that i was home and could go but did not.

so my 8 year old asked me if i was going and why when i said no.

Dude just do what I did, tell them that you want to do whats best and after analyzing things you realized that Jehovah's Witnesses are not the best choice for you to make GOD HAPPY. Tell them it is fine for each person to worship god the way they think they should.

She might ask questions... if so speak to her logically. Kids will be far more accepting than adults.
