Born again Christians are historically what???? That is not a fact. It is drivel. I would suggest animism or wahabi for example or even atheists. None of which can be proven.

Besides your vapor response why does God not treat his servants in different locations fairly? Why does he like letting the pigmented version of his followers suffer so much more? Be it african Asian Indian etc... it's like it tickles his pickle to let those of European descent eat a balanced meal everyday yet he let's others die of malnutrition and disease.

plans for a huge jehovahs witness commune on the outskirts of chelmsford are gathering pace.. the international bible students association, the charity which manages jehovahs witnesses printing and literature distribution, wants to create a new british headquarters.. the 82-acre site (about 15 football pitches) at temple farm site, off ship road, west hanningfield.. the plans include a printery - producing bible-based literature - admin and language translation of?ces, video and sound production studios, an auditorium, training centre and workshops all on site.. plus there will be one and two bedroom apartments - for up to 1,200 residents and visitors - along with onsite caterers, laundrettes and healthcare facilities.. the site would also have its own energy centre - making it self-sufficient - and a new access road would also be built from temple wood.. a resident from stock, 60, who didnt want to be named, said: its all a bit sci-fi if you ask me.

its a very unusual development, a commune really.

i wouldnt say i was against it as it is all a bit of a mess at that site at the moment.. the land, currently occupied by a car breakers yard, was removed from the green belt by chelmsford city council in 2008 and earmarked for employment use.. ibsa agreed to buy the land from its current owners in december, as long as they get planning permission for the project.

I think it is possible the European branches will begin closing quickly. There was a time when jws were known for the infinite number of books that they printed. Eventually they will have to scale back on printing because they are well aware that publishing is their only true money wasting activity.

Could the WT have paid of large loans when it sold NY properties?

it seems that everyone is taking for granted that the sociaty has made 1 billion in profit.

could anyone tell me why it would not be a posibility that the society had a large number of mortgages attached to these properties?

wouldn't that explain the latest monney grab from the congregations?.

Most of the properties the WTBTS had in brooklyn the owned going back decades in time. The only one they could have owned money on would have been maybe Bossert or 90 sands and if I remember correctly those were paid out. Patterson and Walkill as well.

we get so engrossed in discussions during the family worship evening that it often goes on till late at night if i dont stop my family, .

I had family study with my wife and kids about 10 times in the entire 14 years of marriage. They lasted 15 minutes tops. We used coloring books 2 times. My son was scared of one of the illustrations. We just never did it again

Vacation Destination: Looking for Input

so when the kids get out of school we plan on going away for 3 to 4 weeks for vacation but we want to go somewhere that is actually enjoyable and not just packed full of things for the kids to do.

cruises are out, to confining.

i live in the u.s. so i want to abroad an continue to get the kids passports stamped so they can be exposed to as many cultures as possible.. .

Lois, when I was handling the business aspect of the trip it was completely different. I had so many people who were nice and took us to beautiful places to eat. Usually small venues and most of the people in these locations were professionals. After that aspect of things was completed we went to see some "brothers" that were friends from a city named Ebina or Eboona someothing along those lines.

We went to local places and some of the folks there kind of enjoyed the attention. So they made a big deal out of things around the local people there. I think that started the downward skid for us in that area. At first people touching my hair etc... was not bad but my wife was highly uncomfortable so I became uncomfortable as well. Had I been by myself and all these pretty Japanese women wanted to touch my hair and skin I would have been in heaven LOL.

We ended up going to a local place for sushi and things there went downhill. Not sure why but they did. I think if I went by myself it would be easier to handle, but with an angry wife and then the monkey thing it got a little tough.

Maybe next time you can show us around Lois!

Listener - Not to be stupid but how do they treat darker skinned people. We went to Japan and it was very uncomfortable.

People randomly touched me, they would pat my hair etc in public places. Some people asked me and my wife to take pictures and my wife started getting upset when people would want to touch her hair as well. LOL

Then there was the issue with monkey noises when we went to eat with some of the brothers... I made a scene but my wife called me down. Then the brothers that took us there were kind of upset and things went south from there, which I wont even get into. LOL the brothers apologized before we left but it was 10 days from hell.

it seems more and more sites are being infected deliberately by hackers.

i went to a legit-looking site on a famous artist and -- wham!

You are right Gentoo and slackware can be very challenging for a typical PC user. Ubuntu is pretty easy to learn out of the box and has alot of security features that are great. However, you are right it does take some time to make most distros worth using useable.

I tried this in Jamaica Lois... i almost got us killed LOL. I just can not get out of my head to not drive on the right side. There were times when a car was coming toward me and I just jammed the breaks out of confusion.
