THE ATTITUDE OF A BETHELITE
by minimus inone of the most interesting things that i have noticed about being a witness is the awe that is given to bethelites.
it seems that if you are a bethelite, you are accorded special privleges in congregations.
you are honored when you visit a hall.
-
VioletAnai
As a child I always thought that being at Bethel would be an honoured experience. The two bethelites I did know however were both strange, both male, single and in their 40's and both recluse. Does working at Bethel do this to a person?

Prepare yerselfs for the new a.p flick:
This was sent to me via email......good chuckle:
Caution: these lines were tested under strictly controlled conditions using
the proper safety equipment. Do not attempt to try these at home (or in a
bar, nightclub...)
1) I wish you were a door so I could bang you all day long.
2) (Lick finger and wipe on her blouse) Let's get you out of those wet
clothes.
3) Nice legs... What time do they open?
4) Do you work for the post office? I thought I saw you checking out my
package.
5) You've got 206 bones in your body, want one more?
6) Can I buy you a drink or do you just want the money?
7) I may not be the best looking guy in here, but I'm the only one talking
to you.
8) I'm a bird watcher and I'm looking for a Big Breasted BedThrasher, have
you seen one?
9) I'm fighting the urge to make you the happiest woman on earth tonight.
10) Wanna play army? I'll lie down and you can blow the hell outta me.
11) I'd really like to see how you look when I'm naked.
12) You might not be the best looking girl here, but beauty is only a light
switch away.
13) You must be the limp doctor because I've got a stiffy.
14) I'd walk a million miles for one of your smiles, and even farther for
that thing you do with your tongue.
15) If it's true that we are what we eat, then I could be you by morning.
16) (Look down at your crotch) Well, it's not just going to suck itself.
17) You know, if I were you, I'd have sex with me.
18) You, Me, Whipped cream and Handcuffs. Any questions?
19) Those clothes would look great in a crumpled heap on my bedroom floor.
20) My name is Austin...remember that, you'll be screaming it later.
21) Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?
22) Hi, the voices in my head told me to come over and talk to you.
23) I know milk does a body good, but DAMN, how much have you been
drinking?
24) Do you sleep on your stomach? Can I?
25) Do you wash your pants in Mr Sheen because I can see myself in themEnjoy!

Why are people racist?
by MrMoe insomething on the song thread that i posted, song by tu pac, got me to thinking about racisim.
why do people discriminate against people that have different color skin?
i understand it is a learned response, but my "elder" father is very racist... and this is how i was raised.. i don't get it.
-
VioletAnai
Me too Amanda.
There is a program on Racial Prejudice only I can't think of it's name. I know Blue Eyes is in the title - run by an older woman, she based her prejudices on blue eyes to show the ridiculousness of it, she soon puts people in their place and makes you think just what racism is. Sometimes we could be guilty of it and not even know. It's a real eye opener. If only I could remember the name.
Does anyone else remember or know the program I'm talking about?

Abortion VS Child Molestation
by StinkyPantz ini just wanted to know what others thought about this archbishop's comment.
he said that abortion was a bigger sin than child molestation.
do you agree or disagree and why?
-
VioletAnai
Abortion is murder of a foetus that hasn't experienced life and love and human interaction.
Child abuse is murder of the mind, heart and spirit and lasts a lifetime.
The aborted foetus, if it feels pain, only feels it momentarily....the abuse victim feels it for life.
Both a terrible thing, but it's hard to say which is more wrong. I think I would say child abuse becos of the ramifications on the child that has already developed a personality, emotions, relationships etc and then goes into adulthood with twisted perceptions, suffers far worse.

Where are the Feminine women?
by 4skins insome months ago i took my annual vacation to the land of kangaroos--you know--where men are men and sheep are skittish?
as a social commentator i have a vested interest observing cultural changes and trends, etc.
in the professions and trades in oz the genders dress as androgynous as their counterparts in the us.

Nations work as separate entities in most cases, except when borders are threatened then alliances are made. Nations should really be thinking about the future and working together to make things happen. Money is what drives people, but at the rate we are going, money is going to be worthless in a few years. What will all we cushioned nations do then? A fear for my comfort zone is getting larger and larger.
