  why did the watchtower publish the kit?

  (kingdom interlinear translation).

  both in 1969 and 1985 they came out with editions of this greek language translation of the scriptures.

  ....AND, big point!...The Watchtower Society certainly does not want people to read the Bible in the original languages! so why publish it? unless they know the JWs are not going to do anything with it! --VM44

  Why did the Watchtower publish the KIT? (Kingdom Interlinear Translation). Both in 1969 and 1985 they came out with editions of this greek language translation of the scriptures. But really no JW opens it up to read it, let alone use it! Essentially none of them know how to read the greek language or have any interest in reading the scriptures in the original language. So why publish it at all? --VM44

  How does the WT explain "The Truth will Set You Free???"

  i was wondering how the wt explains this scripture, since their members are in bondage.

  i was told by the lady that studied with me that jw are free from superstitions, etc.

  If anyone has the December 15,1947 Watchtower, please post the statement about Beth Sarim.
  

  This 1947 Beth-Sarim reference has not been published since then as far as I know (other than the small segment in the Proclaimers book)

  It will be interesting to read exactly what they wrote in 1947, and compare it with what they wrote in 1929, when they published the deed assigning the house to Rutherford for his exclusive use, until the ancient worthies showed up to claim it! (People actually believed this???!!!)

  I still say that this was a scam, using the assets of a religious organization to benefit a single individual, Rutherford! I do not believe someone could get away with such a deal today.

  When Russell died, Rutherord was an elder in the Los Angelos Ecclesia of Bible Students. He had a regular job as an attorney for a department store.
