This happened years and years ago.
A brother in the Linda Vista congregation had meant to say.
"Let's take a break for intermission", but instead said.
"Let's take a break for intercourse"!!!!

And what is the explaination for the difference?
Thanks to all who respond.

the watchtower society has for years written that demons might attach themselves.
to inanimate objects, which an unwary jw might bring home.
the demons then.
The Watchtower Society has for years written that demons might attach themselves
to inanimate objects, which an unwary JW might bring home. The demons then
proceed to torment the witness until the object is removed and destroyed, preferably
by burning.
Where in the Bible is it said that demons attach themselves to objects?
If it is not in the Bible, then the Watchtower is guilty of promoting superstition, and
instead of setting people free, they are enslaving them in bondage to fear.
Or is it another way to control the people?

One item from something that was like a "Kingdom Ministry" that caught my
attention was a notice about Box Tops!
In the late 1930's (1938?), the Watchtower had the Companies (congregations)
involved in "Box Top" collection drives.
The box tops would be sent to Headquaters for the Watchtower to redeam them
for cash. (at least that is what I think they would redeam them for, they didn't
use them for wallpaper!)
I don't think anyone has mentioned this form of "theocratic" activity from the 30s
before.

hi osarsif,.
i saw you posting tonight, so i thought i woulf post this directly to you.. where are the h2o archives that you used to have at your site?.
i hope they are still available.. --vm44
Here are the results of my attempt to download the files.
I was able to download file 000.zip
But all attempts to download other files have failed.
A tranfer error would arise at some point during the
downloads (once when one download was 96% complete...almost done!)
and the download would terminate.
The server the files are hosted on does not support "resume transfer"
so I would have to start from the beginning on the next attempt.
Anyone else experience this problem?

WItnesses," one of the authors gives a personal experience where
he and others were treated by Fred Franz to a meal at a chinese
restaurant.
This was a very nice thing for Fred Franz to do, but one wonders
how he could pay for everyone using only the small monthly allowances
Bethel peopole receive.
He must have used his WT expense account to pay for the meal.

I was reading some material concerning the Noachian Global Flood,
and the simple point was made concerning fresh water fish, they
would have quickly died in single water mass covering the entire
earth.
I think this in itself would indicate the Flood could not be global.
Did the Watchtower ever address this problem in their literature
(or for that mater, has anyone addressed this problem?)

hello all: in discussing evolution, creation, and bible chronology we will at some point pass through various dating methods that challenge religious beliefs, especially that of the watch tower religion.. some years ago the watch tower society published material (i forget the actual reference) that challenged carbob-14 dating as flawed and prone to error, especially when dating fossils.
the wts cited some sources that dealt with sample contamination that may cause errors in reading half-life of carbon-14.. i wish i could find the article again, because it was published when i was still working in nuclear engineering.
i recall feeling that the wts was stretching the claims to cover the understanding of bible chronology regarding the age of homo sapiens being about 4,026 years.
Thanks Amazaing, it will be an interesting reference.
btw, Did you ever find the article you were looking for in the
original post to this thread?

They had to be removed? Darn! Just when I was about to download
them all!
Any plans to find a site to host them?
Hmmm, what about Randy's site? or the Watchtower-Observer?
btw, How many and how large were the H2O files?
