Another thought.....Russell having some ablility at bookkeeping might have influenced his biblical interpretation...like saying 144,000 is a literal number, that the meaurements of the pyramid held biblical and historical significance, the computation of the Gentile times, and in general his search for "secret" knowledge contained in the bible. Russel appears to have believed that when numbers are mentioned in the Bible, they are to be taken literally. I wonder what he would have thought about the modern day "Bible Code" fad? --VM44

How much money did Russell inherit?
by VM44 incharles russell's dad own a small chain of clothing stores.
russell worked for a time in his dad's store.

I do not think he worked long for his father though. Someone might know the answer to that. The questions I have are: How much did Russell inherit? and, When did he inherit the money? We all know what he did with the money of course. --VM44

Someone recently used an animated smiley face surrounded by a blue rotating animated flower petals. Does anyone know where to find this animated image? I would like to add it to my collection of animated images. The variations on "Smiley" really show people's creativity. The smiley that Amazing uses, the "Smiley typing at computer" is one of the best. Maybe we should post a master list of "Smiley" websites?

by sleepy indid man go to the moon?.
just watched an amazing programme that claimed the moon landings were faked.i was supprised at how compeling the evidence against a moon landing was.anyone know more about the subject?.
if it is true that this didn't happen it raises a whole lot of questions about how trust worthy our governments are.

Dear Dr James Bola, I have just forwarded your email to fbi.gov. Have a nice day.
Now the scammer won't know if any replies to his scam are potential victims, or government investigators. Hehe!

by Joseph_Muth inabout 4 years ago it became imposible for the non jw to subscripe to the magizines, without contact with a publisher.
you now have to have them brought to you.. it seems that the orangization is becoming more and more paranoid.

The following reasons are why the Watchtower has discontinued mail delivery
of its magazines:
1) To save postage costs,
2) To keep the magazines out of "apostate" hands,
3) To require direct contact with those who want the magazines.
The purpose of the magazine is to provide information to the existing members,
and to encourage new membership.
These purposes of the Watchtower are NOT served by mailing magazines to people who
are not taking steps to become a member of the congregation.
Both current witnesses and those who are interested in becoming a witness can get
the magazines at the Kingdom Hall. The Watchtower's view is that no one else needs
the magazines.
So after more than 100 years of sending their magazines to people through the mail,
they have decided it is not necessary, and a "simplification" to discontinue the
practice.
