"It is very unlikely we will see the 21st Century"
That is a priceless quote! Where is it to be found? Is it on the WT Library CD?

i've been thinking about the part at the dc on "beware the voice of strangers".
they mention three areas to watch: any dissenting talk against the organization, the internet and the media(as in newspapers, news-shows on tv, etc.).
there's been quite a bit of talk already on this board about the internet part of the talk.

does anyone know if the society keeps a library of publications dating from the late 1800's into the early 1900's and whether or not bethelites have access to them?
did anyone notice that the latest km (uk version) in the article about the new circuit assembly program said in the last paragraph.
that 'jehovah himself has prepared this spiritual food...and that we would all cry out with joy if we attend all the sessions'?.
this must have slipped through the censor
When asked in a court of law, while under oath, who the editor of the Watchtower was, Fred Franz answered "Jehovah God!"

i have read here in some posts that one of the new releases this year is a brochure, "look!
the beautiful country!
", containing maps.. when it was released, does anyone know if the speaker mentioned how much better the maps in the brochure were than "worldly maps"?.

A theocratic map?!!!, are all World Maps then "Worldly"?
Perhaps someone could post some more details about it.
It would be nice if there was a scan of it....Hint, Hint, Hint :)

can someone point me in the right direction for this cd-rom?
i have been having some discussions with a jw and i can't get access to any of the source material without going through him.
i asked him if i could burn it but he wouldn't let me because of copyright laws, etc.
You really want the 2001 CD-ROM. They don't make the 1999 one any more. The 2001 version has a much better interface and includes two more years worth of publications.
Yes, the 2001 has a better user interface, but the 1999 WT CD-ROM has the "Babylon the Great" book, while the 2001 CD does not!

Here are some machines that perform this kind of scanning:
http://www.dspguide.com/xraysys.htm
and one in particular, the SECURE 1000
http://www.dspguide.com/secure.htm
The SECURE 2000 scans people with X-rays as they walk down a corridor
sorta like in the movie, "Total Recall."
The same website has a FREE book on Digital Signal Processing for Scientists and Engineers which you can download (if you like to read books with lots of equations) at:

not long ago i started a thread about how my wife & i sent letters to the society but received no response, well we got one.
my wife wrote a letter asking about the similarity between pagan mystery cults and christianity, especially she mentioned the eucharist meal of bread and wine representing blood and body of dying saviors such as mithras and dionysus.
their response was: .
When I read that the WT wrote you "Christians do not need to make a study of mythology.", I immediately thought of how the Watchtower tries to prove the GLOBAL FLOOD by bringing up the flood mythologies throughout the world. So someone at Bethel has made a study of mythology! This appears to be a case of "Do as we say, not as we do!"

i saw in englishman's "un-sanitized watchtower publications cd" post a picture of a cd labled "aid to bible understanding".. that is one very thick book, and i would not want to even think of how long it would take someone to scan all the pages and make a pdf document of it!.
for some reason, i liked the aid book better than the more recent 2 volume "insight" book.. is that "aid" cd available?
where could one order it?
Hi Scully,
Yes! I would like to get the Aid book on CD. I can't send you a PM because I now always get this message when I click on my Inbox here " Server Error in '//' Application. Input string was not in a correct format".
Perhaps you could send me an email about obtaining the CD to my email address? [email protected]

P.S. Thinking about it, what is the original source for those three CDs? I can't get to my PM messages here anymore, so if someone wants to email about this, send your message to [email protected]
