i know a statement like this has appeared in the literature but i cannot find it.
searching this forum, i am unable to find a conversation on it.. .
it's out there somewhere.
Just now when looking at the list of thread topics here, the title of this one looked like this:
"GE will do your research for you."
I wouldn't mind, GE makes some good products!
lets see what is the difference between a bethalite and a publisher?.
when working in bethal you are considered to be a pioneer.. that means in bethal you can do carpentry , cleaning , cooking , painting ,washing clothes , ironing sorting out bills and accounts and many other jobs and be considered a pioneer and spiritualy strong.. you can even miss meetings do no ministry in the week and still be spiritualy strong.. if extra work is needed to be done you can miss meetings to do it and still be considered a pioneer and spiritually strong.. if you are a publisher and spend all week doing house work , decorating your house sorting bills out a miss a meeting or don't go on the ministry you are spiritually weak.. the elders will be concerned at your lack of spiritual goals and you may become an iregular publisher or even inactive.. of course the publisher has the advantage of having to do all his/her menial tasks after working full time to pay the bills.. i wish i could be spiritually strong like those bethalites.. of course as a publisher if i had a house kept as well as bethal employing all those extra workers to do so i would be considered materialistic, but the governing body can do that and still be considered spritualy strong.. of course there are no class distinctions with jehovahs witnesses all are equal just some more than others.
"pioneers could count their time while volunteering at assemblies, but normal publishers could not. "
I didn't know this.
Pioneers are indeed the special ones aren't they?

if something's broke, why not fix it?
I wonder what Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" would look like if she ever got to it!
below is the basic view of jw towards education and in 30yrs theirs views really have not changed much- a tweak here and a tweak there, but after all is said and done you can still get a 4 yr degree from reading the awake smile
1969 "in view of the short time left, a decision to pursue a career in this system of things is not only unwise but extremely dangerous .. many young brothers and sisters were offered scholarship or employment that promised fine pay.
however, they turned them down and put spiritual interests first.
"So by guiding their children away from the so-called 'higher' education of today, these parents spare their children exposure to an increasingly demoralizing atmosphere, and at the same time prepare them for life in a new system as well."
Preparation for something that never comes?
What console do these words provide when the child has become 94 years old and the "new system" still hasn't arrived?
The Watchtower is evil.
i got an email the other day from an long time jw, in fact he was 13 at the 1958 convention in ny and polo grounds .
we were talking about the org and he posed the question to me as well- i thought about it and i could not think of anything-.
i have never heard -other than the name adoption resolution- any mention of any resolutions that we as jw adopted like in 1979, 1983 , etc.
Wasn't there a thread devoted to all seven of the Cedar Point Resolutions?
I can't find it now!
if you ever wanted to know why this poster put it best

in reply to: why do jw keep track of hrs?
Why are JW's required to report Field Service Time?
Because businesses need a means to measure activity.
And The Watchower is in the business of running a Religion!
jt, .
i normally understand everything you write, and get what you mean, but i have been trying to figure out your cheese cracker men expression?
danny.
The reason why DA letters are a waste of time and effort!
"I will tell anyone who is considering leaving, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME dealing with Cheese Cracker men- they are below you and don't give them the time of day- this is one of the reasons why i Will Never write a DAing letter- I Refuse to Dignify their Title or Position by sending them anything."
*** watchtower september 1 1975 p.543 questions from readers *** .
how many years of secular education are advisable for children in christian households?
today, there are many teenage baptized servants of jehovah... how far should they go with a secular education?
From 1975:
"Make pioneer service, the full-time ministry, with the possibility of Bethel or missionary service your goal. This is a life that offers an everlasting future!"
What "everlasting future"?
Has The Watchtower ever delivered on that promise?
yes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?
A former assembly hall account overseer shows how Watchtower Accounting works!!!!
The Watchtower wants $$$$!
