The Creation book selectively quotes Niles Eldredge and then goes on to do what Eldredge is speaking against.

Misquote in the Creation Book
by ILoveTTATT inmy dad came into the jw's because someone studied the "creation" book with him.
it pains me deeply that he sent me an e-mail recently saying that to keep the peace with my mom, he will stop communicating with me as much as possible.
i should communicate with him only if i have an emergency.. it upsets me to no end, but i cannot do anything or much about it.

What the world needs is not another Kingdom Hall!
The Watchtower is obsessed with building projects.

Thank you Make Lemonade for your comments.
There are indeed useful reasons to bring forth information about things that happened 70, 80, or even more years in the past.

The writer who wrote this 1969 article is probably not even alive now.
If he is alive then I doubt that he cares very much about what he wrote 45 years ago.

"Dr. E. Lee Burch, San Jose, Calif., Wednesday was elected president of the American Electronic Research association at its seventh annual convention."
An advertisement for Dr. E. Lee Burch's practice was published in a 1923 college magazine that can be found online at the Internet Archive, www.archive.org.
It is amazing how "Dr." Abrams fooled so many M.D.s into believing his "ERA" methods actually worked.

It is somewhat ironic that a talk about the Ressurrection is followed by a talk about a quack medical treatment!

WT Mantras / Thought Stoppers
by Ding ini've been thinking about how the gb controls jws through the use of short phrases or scripture quotes (often partial quotes ripped out of context).. think of the sound-bite responses you know jws are going to give you in response to points you try to make to them.. ones that come to my mind immediately are:.
-- "the light gets brighter and brighter.".
-- "who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave?".
-
VM44
That is a good list Ding.
Here is the ultimate JW thought stopper.
"Wait on Jehovah."

Resurrection without a soul that survives death.
by Pronger1 inone thing (among many) that always bothered me about jw teachings is what happens to the soul when we die.
sure god could be capable of creating a body and implanting it with all of our life experiences an memories.
but how would not be a just a clone instead of being actually us?
-
VM44
Does the Watchtower and the JWs even understand the implications of their "resurrection" doctrine?
