They are such control freaks!!! And these examples are surely just the tip of the iceberg. SO HAPPY to be away from this.

I was counciled for putting in Pioneer hours and not officially "Pioneering"
by RubaDub ini didn't want to hijack the thread about people having to "wait" until the society approves their pioneer status.. i recall once an elder was shocked that i had done the 60 hours a couple of months but not officially on the pioneer list for the months.
i told him that i didn't need the title, that the purpose was to do the work, not get a title.. i then heard a long lecture about how that was not encouraging to others, etc, etc, etc.. he got rather annoyed when i asked him what the purpose of the preaching work is.
of course he said to spread the good news.

Question: Where's The Doctrinal "Component" Behind Recent Changes?
by metatron ini just wanted to toss this out there: is there any noticeable doctrinal backdrop or expressed scriptural component behind recent changes?.
now, there are many opinions about recent changes - ranging from complete and utter cynicism motivating the governing body to naive belief in their own bullsh*t. also, are they just reacting to sudden developments or is there any coherent long term plan?.
i would think that if they truly expect to 'trim down' the organization by laying off publishers (in addition to bethelites, do's, branch members) then the watchtower magazine and various assembly talks should reflect that.

You Can't Argue With a Sick Mind
by Oubliette instill, it's an exercise in futility.. we want to (metaphorically speaking) shake the shit out of our loved ones tha are still intoxicated with and under the spell of the nonsensical theology of the wtbts.
but it just doesn't work.
so, to ease your frustration and maybe give you something positive to enjoy, i thought i'd share with y'all joe walsh's last live concert before he joined the eagles full time:.

Ready to step my apostate game up...
by Joliette injust dont know when i'm gonna be able to do that.. right now, i am working full time, i go to school part time, etc.
i want to start traveling more, doing more activist work, visiting more apostate friends, and helping to get people out of this 'so called religion.'.
in other words, i want to start going to un-preach where the need is great.

Locate investigative journalists in major cities near you and feed them the sex abuse data along with the shunning information.
It would be awesome if someone picked up the stories in NYC near the "hq". Scientologists are still being documented by the major newspaper in St Pete/Tampa FL due to the Scientology HQ in Clearwater...there are Pulitzers involved for the journalists.
