  Your thoughts on demons, ghosts and spirits

  as a jw were taught all about demons but i never had an incident.

  my wife believes wholeheartedly says her family including her has had problems with them.

  i have met people that even non religious people that say they have experienced a ghost or a spirit.

  Jdubs believe in demons and wicked spirits BUT are not (openly) allowed to watch movies about them. This makes sense how? Does watching the movie make them more "real"?

  it is commonly known by jehovah's witnesses, the marriage of pastor c.t.russell and his wife maria (moe-rye-uh) was an uneasy one.. the marriage itself was founded on a weird interpretation of "virginity" and "purity" as only an obsessive-compulsive.

  puritan fanatic might find agreeable.

  the two of them were not to share a bed (or physical relations.).

  some souls here may feel i was a little harsh.

  if so, i am deeply sorry.

  i was abused by a handful right from the start, presumably on the basis of the avatar picture (and 2001 vintage).. when visiting dubland, i often find that others start fights with me - for whatever reason, and i provide quite a supply of them - and when it doesn't quite go the way they expected, they cry persecution.

  when i found out "ttat" i felt like muhammad ali when joe frazer knocked him down in their first fight in the 15th round.

  the ref came over grab my gloves and looked me in the eyes and asked me "are you ok, can you continue" and then gave me the standing 8 count.

  no it didn't knock me out but it staggered me.

  One language in the new system

  so at the convention, one of the talks was about how all people will speak a single language in the new system.

  my ears perked up when i heard at the outset "now, we can't be dogmatic about this" because that immediately makes me think that they're backing away from a previously dogmatic stance.

  he went on to say that everyone will be speaking hebrew in the new system because "evidently" (another word that gets my ears to perk up these days) that was what was spoken before the languages were confused at bable.

  there was a brother in my congregation who was an elder.

  he got disfellowshipped about two years ago for looking at child porn and also trying to meet up with a thirteen year old boy online.

  he was also arrested soon after this.

  LisaRose, you are spot on with your comments. As for I wonder how long it will be before he is made an elder again the answer could be Soon™.

  Time for those in the know inside the congs to start spilling the beans and protecting innocent children rather than their molesters.

  I saw lots of depression with and without meds, alcoholism, and eating disorders in female jdubs in my twenty years. Seems to be getting worse among those I see (infrequently).

  i have often laughed at public outpourings of emotion.

  just google mike schmidt"s retirement speech in which he loses it and blithers on about his career.

  completely douche chilling.. but to be honest, i had a moment recently when i literally balled my eyes out.

  Wasanelder, sorry your lovely Mom was treated so unkindly even by those she had assisted many times. She surely didn't deserve that dose of UnLove.

  Reopened, taking care of the struggling one was so kind and loving in the true sense of the word. Sorry you and he were not treated the same.

  There are many of us who soldiered on, laboring for others but being treated like pariahs by those in the cult. Sadly, when unconditional Love is not taught or rewarded, most jdubs never learn it until they leave the mind-controlled environment.
