  It would be interesting to see the list of ingredients for this vaccine, as there have been reports of various vaccines used in Africa that are also eugenic. The B&M Gates Foundation has committed over $500M to the Ebola vaccine project. Bill and his father are famous Eugenicists, and Bill and Melinda have pushed mandatory vaccination programs in Nigeria (where it was reported some children were vaccinated at gunpoint). Bill's famous TED 2010 talk revealed his ideas to reduce CO2 emissions not by controlling factory and auto emission limits, but by population control - and one of the tools he put forth was immunizations.

  So think about the "fact" that Ebola mysteriously pops up only in Africa on a regular two-year occurrence schedule, creating massive fear and panic because omg someone brought it to the US, and then voila! there is this miracle vaccine for the lovely humans in Africa who will be mass-vaccinated, like it or not.

  Will it be similar to these?

  JW Volunteer Who Died Translating Sign Language - How was he not missed for 48 hours??

  man at jehovah's witness facility died of natural causes.

  does it not seem really, really strange that he would not have been missed all day saturday and sunday?

  Does it not seem really, really strange that he would not have been missed all day Saturday and Sunday? Outsiders might find that normal, but that just wouldn't have happened in the ranks of the JW family, especially in Sign Language which is like its own special club.

  He may well have died of "natural" causes, I just wonder if the dubs delayed calling the cops in while they "cleaned" his room.

  because of the belief that the bible is quite literally the word god jws must shut out many logical concepts and theories.

  it's not just evolution although that is a large one.

  i know when i was in there were certain concepts that made sense to me but i would try not to think about them too much.

  ** Morality as social construct **

  I know a df'd jdub who was (like a few others I know) talking about living happily without the confines of structured religion, because he seemed to think that would be difficult. The concept that I personally make my own choices about Right and Wrong kinda blew his mind. I told him that once you peel away all the teachings and allow yourself to make your own decisions, it becomes readily apparent and a natural behavior to treat people well and have compassion for them as others belonging to the family of humans.

  He reacted as if that was a new thought and I think he's still pondering the concept.

  the governing body have painted themselves in a corner, so to speak.

  if they acknowledge their response to abuse claims was insensitive, unloving and inadequate they are denying the belief that "god's way" is best and risk losing abuse cases.

  if they stick with it and say it is "god's way according to the bible" they will be seen as cult leaders and risk losing abuse cases.

  johnamos - Yes, blame the parents. It is, of course, the parents' fault that the elders gave a wink*wink to the known child rapist and protected his identity for years. It is, of course, the parents' fault that the elder assigning car groups knowingly placed that confessed child rapist into a car group with innocent children. It is, of course, the parents' fault that they didn't even know about the abuse for years because the jw-protected child rapist convinced the child its parents would be killed by Jehovah if the child told anyone.

  In a normal scenario, the parents would of course run screaming to the police and personally hunt down this monster to seek revenge and/or justice for their child.
  

  However, this is by no means a "normal" situation. Here are the realities:

  • This is a CULT. A well-trained, fabulously successful CULT that knows precisely how to indoctrinate people to do its bidding and believe its doctrines.
  • The parents are under the influence of this CULT and obviously are not acting rationally, and therefore do not want to cause people under the influence and control of Satan and his system to have reason to speak ill of almighty Jehovah and his One True Religion.
    
  • The elders are under the influence of this CULT and are controlled by the Watchtower Society and the Governing Body, who do everything in their power to protect these child rapists and pedophiles rather than protecting innocent children and their families.

  And you know this. And knowing this, you choose to point the finger at the parents? Seriously, you need to reconsider your thinking on this subject.

  last nights news featured the australian commision into jehovah's witness elders not reporting pedophiles.

  it was very damning!

  BUT we've already heard that thinking ones are leaving the cult, so let's hope the child rape stories will cut through the persecution hype.

  several threads on here about the excellent bbc r4 programme this week ('the report') focussing on rape and abuse in barry, south wales, jws.

  fat pervert mark sewell later got 14 years and i hope he is enjoying every minute of it.. the courageous ladies who spoke on the programme were articulate, reasonable and made a tremendous impression.. the quote in the thread title made an impression on me, and i hope, on all listeners.. forget religious, theological, 'biblical' issues and cut to the basics.

  a rape victim was asked to demonstrate - to demonstrate, ffs - to three unqualified (middle-aged at least, presumably) men just how far her legs were apart when she was raped.. i have rarely heard anything so outrageous, and i used to investigate rape and abuse in my profession.

  Was told my preschool-aged daughter would have to face her accuser in a jc. I told them there was no way that I would allow her to be further traumatized and they backed off. But they also pulled the Don't Tell Anyone What Happened line because big j's name would be dragged through the mud. I still can't believe I stayed "in" after that happened, but like most I believed it to be personal shortcomings of those particular elders.

  That's a good reason to get this out before the public, because the mysogynistic abuse of women in this cult is not only barbaric but epidemic and must be stopped.

  Daughter of Elder Reinstated Within Months!

  a young sister in my husband's congregation who is the daughter of an elder has been reinstated in a matter of months.

  whereas another sister in the same congregation has been disfellowshipped now for nearly two years!.

  seems like it's who you know..

  Poor guy...his jw life had to be closing in on him to take such drastic action, but it's great that he's now able to finally breathe. Hope things improve in his world soon.
