  Kid charged over $500 to a game

  yesterday, i got our credit card statement, and looked at the charges.

  over $500 to itunes.

  questioned everyone, and it's for "jewels" for a kim kardashian game my 13 year old charged.

  PARENTS, listen up (and yes, I know this is NOT the popular answer) --

  You can store your credit card info to use with your iTunes account, but as a parent you should NEVER give your underage child YOUR PASSWORD to that iTunes account. When YOU share your password, YOU are opening the account up for that child's use and it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to control its use, not the responsibility of the credit card company and certainly not iTunes' responsibility.

  Change the iTunes password. Do not give your child any of your passwords for any reason.

  We as PARENTS must set the example of RESPONSIBILITY, not blaming others for our poor decisions leading up to bad consequences. Children do not have good judgment in financial matters, that's why they are not allowed to sign contracts. Did the daughter make poor financial decisions? Absolutely. But that is why we have to teach them about finances before we give them access to finances. This girl obviously can do math and knew she was spending funds, but unless she stole your password to get into the account or breached an agreement with you to never purchase anything in iTunes...she actually had permission to do what she did.

  on october 2, 1914, charles taze russell, founder of the watchtower, announced that the gentile times have ended!.

  tomorrow will be exactly 100 years since his historic announcment.. to commemorate this centennial occasion, i will gladly take bets in any amount of money that the world will not end tomorrow and that on friday, october 3rd, 2014 gmt, we will still all be here, for better or worse.. any die-hard jws interested in taking the other side of this friendly little wager?

  still hoping the big "a" is coming tomorrow and your loving god, jehovah, is going to commit mass genocide and execute 99.9% of earth's population because they don't follow the dictates the 7 members of the "faithful and discreet slave," aka, the governing body of jehovah's witnesses?.

  I just wanted to cheer you up.....

  with all the depressing stuff going on in the world, the new is terror threat, poor people dying in the japan volcano, e-bola etc.... i just wanted to share my happiness.. my really horrible neighbours moved away in july this year.

  i had 3 horrendous years living next to them, so bad that i had alopecia!!

  my flat was up for sale but was bought by a investor, who is a good guy and has other properties in my local area.. to celebrate i am going to kefalonia next week, i have wanted to go for 20 years and i'm so excited.. sometimes, you don't always appreciate the good times unless you have troubles to deal with.. thanks for reading.. .

  My Lecturer booby-trapped me - Patterns of Authority in Early Christian Communities

  i have a 2500 word essay due next tuesday, so i shall be invoiced until then.

  and, i already have been turned upside down.. even though there are set topics for the main essay, it is possible to negotiate for an essay on a subject of personal interest.

  i'd been thinking about the development of leadership in the early christian congregation, so i asked my lecturer, if i could write on that.. he asked me for a brief outline of what i was thinking, so i reviewed my early thoughts - that jesus primarily had left no clear instructions (because he was expecting divine intervention and the restoration of the kingdom), but he had trained his disciples in missionary work - which i interpreted to mean that jesus expected his own ministry to continue, to provide the judean people with continued guidance, modelled on what he (jesus) had done.. but as christianity developed (and the expectations of jesus remained unfulfilled) a different model developed and i wanted to explore the model we see developing in the nt (think pauline) and where that model came from and then transformed into the monarchial model with bishops.. .

  Hmmm....so if dinosaurs were created by this almighty-god-person to prepare the world for humans....they are the reason we have fossil fuels, right? So this almighty-god-person meant for humans to have petroleum and screw up the atmosphere and pollute the earth. Ahh, it all makes sense now.
