as some of you may know, i do scrapbooking.

i recieved a wonderful gift this year of a new album and i would like it to be my new project on jwd

i would love photo graphs of you and your family or pets and i am going to do some embelishing and make it look real nice.

up until this evening i had thought teresa schiavo was in an unconcious state, lying on a bed with just a machine keeping her alive.

how wrong was i?

i saw her smiling and showing awareness of her surroundings.

Can anyone document where people who have been starved to death have said it to be a "not so bad" way to die? And that the collapse of the internal organs through starvation is merciful ?

That the conscience is located in Schiavo's part of the brain that is damaged? That she may not be finding enjoyment in just being able to see or be conscious of her family being present? If you say she is not conscious then please say how consciousness is measured, what technology was used to determine this...

I just think that peoples philisophical beliefs rather than science is edging this woman to her death. Being fed is NOT an extra-orinary medical intervention, it is a basic right of humans.

A comment I heard tonight

tonight i heard one of the most cruel and twisted comments i've ever heard at the platform.

the topic was the apocalypse and whether or not children will be slaughtered.

through one side of his mouth, the po stated that the bible is not clear on the matter, while out the other side he pointed to all those old testament accounts where children were killed.

OK, I didnt read the entire thread. The watchtower teaches that children will be killed. Look at the images in the literature and see them falling in the hole with everyone else.

Children are likened to a snakes offspring and thus deserve to die? What happened to "undeserved kindness"? Disgusting WT religion, with no value for children or anyone but themselves, they are themseles the offspring of vipers.

Lets use WT reasoning....JWS assume that the kids are the offspring of evil and Jah knows beforehand that they will grow up wicked, so he kills them while they are young for acts that they havent carried out yet but would have if he had let them grow up! Yet, at the same time they argue that Jah chooses not to know the future of men. Jah didnt know whether Jesus would be faithful. Jah doesnt know if the anointed will remain faithful so he has to replace them occasionally. Yet he knows these kids of the evil people will grow up wicked?

Jah sent Jonah to Niniva to warn the people to stop their wicked ways, the WT ponted out that the Ninevites were cruel because they killed people in merciless ways. So Jah is going to kill the kids in the same way as the ninivites did, without mercy? Why do the kids deserve to die? JWs have hardened their hearts and conscious, starved of natural compassion they sit in meetings and nod at how "right" the WT is.

Colour me confused...

Commendations to all for discussing this maturely. Neither side deserve a "whoopin" just because they disagree with eachother, yet I have seen discussions about this case get nasty, sad.

I found it alarming that she was able to swallow on her own until they put the feeding tube in, consequently that weakened the muscles so that she couldnt swollow later! Its almost as if her fate has been a "set up". People read the paper work but didnt think about the person. Now who stopped the feeding through the mouth? I hear it was her husband? Maybe not, I dont know for sure..

Perhaps someone needs to face responsibility for her inability to swollow now? How kind they have all been to her, weakened her muscles which added to her suffering and now they want her dead because she may be "suffering" more. If they had allowed her to continue to use her muscles she may by now have been able to feed without the aid of the tube...They stop her feeding abilities and now they wont feed her. Totally ironical.

By getting her out of the way all the misdiagnosis can be buried with her sooner.

I just dont understand why they would use this cruel way of killing her

How do I know when it's love....

i don't post a lot about my personal life here anymore but i have a situation that i'd like some feedback on.. i have been dating a for about 5 months.

she is a university professor, originally from madrid spain, speaks 3 languages, quite an interesting and intelligent lady.

however, i have also come to find that she is very insecure and somewhat childish emotionally.. she has brought up marriage several times, and i have tried to keep her at bay on this subject, as i just don't know if the relationship has that kind of feeling or not.. the problem is, i don't know what that feeling is supposed to be.

Just kiddin Dan. In my experience I had similar feelings as yours towards an ex girlfriend, I didnt know If I loved her or not and kind of enjoyed the times when we were not together! I look back and see that there was obviously no love there.

When I met the person who became my wife, my 1st thought was "There is my wife to be", darn presumtious huh! But it was true. I wanted to be with her 24-7. Infact for the 1st few years we never spent a day apart. It was never inconvenient for her to be around, we married within 3 months. This marriage lasted 10 yrs and even now I like to see her and know she is alright.

My 1st feelings were of passion/lust and the need to "unite" with her, lol, these feelings led to love. Now when it became love, it wasnt a gushy feeling but rather "an act of will", In other words, even if she ever did me wrong I would still love her regardless. Its a bit like loving my sons, whatever they do in life I am going to be there for them, not with a gushy feeling but with love that will act in in their best interests. Its kind of a bond that cannot be broken, I'd give my life for them even if they were punching me in the face. Do you know that kind of feeling? If you do, then to me, "that" is what love is.
